For a few months now, we've been hoping that the right van would find us. It seemed like every good deal was scooped up within a day, so it was really about being diligent and quick. We waiting and hunted, and there it was. A 2018 Toyota Sienna in Knoxville, TN. The miles were right. The features were right. The price was right. So this past weekend we set out hoping it was as good as it seemed-- and it was. We have a van!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Mia has already been enjoying all her space and the ease of a sliding door. Life is easier and better because of this van, and you guys made that happen. Thank you.

We had an MRI yesterday to get an updated look at Mia's brain. Because so much development happens in these first two years, we wanted to see how things settled. The good news: no surprises, more signs of development with myelination happening, and a smaller band heterotopia, which is good! And no bad news! Mia did well with the sedation and came out of it all sweet and happy.

@helen_m_stevens All of this is amazing but I especially love the dragonfly (my favorite insect!)

I looked at my wildlife pond to see how it survived the winter; there are some interesting nymphs at the bottom. I can't identify them yet, but I am hoping that the Emperor will be showing off his new clothes this summer! Handsome fellow! #embroidery #EmbroideryWhisperer

@moej4prez It happens, and the teacher shouldn’t have said anything. I’ve dealt with this and it’s hard. You are a good mom and you are doing your best. No guilt needed.

Mia's in another two-week intensive, and she's blowing us away. With lots of supports, she's been able to hold an independent sit AND an independent wall stand. As a whole, we are very, very, very tired. But her gains show how worth it this all is.

My toddler is now assigning me reading. She wants to sit next to me on the couch with both of us reading our own books lol. I was told "Very hungry caterpillar," is a "Mommy book."
