I'm a 58-year-old retired roofer from Zanesville, OH who has no relationship with his children and has been banned from 4 separate Chili's locations for berating staff, and I have deep concerns about the Democratic candidate for mayor of New York City, a place I have never been.

GREAT NEWS! The developers who will build a 59-unit affordable housing project on the former Mirro site were successful in their application for state and federal tax credits! @GovEvers announced today that the project will receive $975,873 in federal credits and $541,332 in state credits, for a total of $1,517,205. This is the final step in making this project a reality on the Mirro site. It is also the only state/federal application that was awarded outside of Milwaukee, Dane, and Kenosha counties. Last year, we were awarded $1,961,500 in a federal grant through the bipartisan infrastructure law for the final cleanup of most of the site. That project was awarded, and work began in March with the removal of several underground tanks. The remainder of the cleanup will start up again in June/July. This will be the remaining contaminated soils and demolishing the remaining concrete building slab, excavating and disposing of the remaining PCB and VOC impacted soils, demolishing and abandoning the utility tunnel below the surface, and most importantly, importing clean fill and topsoil for greenspace and granular fill for where the building/sidewalks will be! The photos of the project are original; they are not the final design. Work on the multi-family complex should begin later this year or in the spring of 2026. This is more great news to finally get this site cleaned up and developed, thanks to the many state/federal grants we have received over the years to ensure the local taxpayers don't have to cover the entire cost to get this site developed. 😡When Gabby started reffing at 13, I watched, holding a passive/aggressive note at the ready for such parents saying “thanks for your interest in reffing, here’s what they go through to get certified (hours of training), and how to apply. He’d get that.. at least.
