Now also seems like a good time to announce here that I’m taking a clinical grad student(s) this year. If you’re interested in how reward processing develops in the young brain, or in genetic syndromes, come talk to me! I’ll be at the @ABCTAutism happy hour tonight.

🚨My brainchild of the last 1.5yrs is now available to read in @jaacap! Let’s break ‘reward processing’ down into its building blocks, and study them systematically in infants & toddlers. tinyurl.com/th3cp7pb 1/5 🧵

Excited that our meta-analysis on gross motor & social skills in autism is out in Psychological Bulletin! We found evidence for robust differences in gross motor behavior in autism that were correlated with social behavior: doi.apa.org/doi/10.1037/bu…

I was granted a travel award from @Infantstudies to present my thesis research on canonical babbling and intersensory matching as predictors of early expressive vocabulary at the 2022 Congress! This will be my first time attending and I absolutely can't wait to share my work!

*density does not mean neuronal density. This study uses MRI, which cannot directly measure neuronal density.

One of my dissertation papers is out! Regional grey matter volume - but not density* - is increased in autism in 6-25 year-olds. Could help explain some prior inconsistent structural findings. @CARautism ars.els-cdn.com/content/image/…

Teaser for a short talk I recorded on some of my dissertation research (on early detection of autism. Sadly there are no nanorobots in my talk).

Our citation imbalance code now does both race and gender and the estimates are probabilistic. It now measures your reference list's balance across 64 combinations of race and gender: Asian/Black/Hispanic/white, man/woman, first/last author. github.com/mb3152/balance…
