Most founders view a long-standing relationship with one offramp provider as a technical integration. Smart founders see it as compliance history, a liquidity relationship, and a transaction risk profile built through real production volume. That's because a new provider re-runs every check from zero and makes you restart on reduced limits. The transaction patterns and risk assessments you built with the old provider have no commercial basis for transfer. The technical migration takes days, but the operational reset takes months. Offramps aren't a commodity.

Adopting stablecoins as a business doesn't mean leaving the traditional financial system. It means adding a second one alongside it. Operationally, this results in two systems producing incompatible financial records that Finance teams must reconcile every month ↓

My chapter at Lisk has come to an end. But my mission with emerging markets will continue💚🤍 10+ countries, 2 Africa tours, 1,000+ devs/founders, 2 builders residencies🇪🇹🇦🇷, hackathons, buildathons, workshops... everything in 1.5 years. The mission was to bring serious founders from emerging markets into web3, and show the talent from Africa and Latam. I am sure we did it. I had the privilege of bringing 18 founders from Africa and Latam together at Edge City Patagonia. We lived together, we built together, and what we built was a bridge between two regions with the same ambition that almost never get the chance to build together. Thank you to all my African & Latam friends, my colleagues and everyone who trusted us since the beginning🫂

After almost four years, I decided to step away from @LiskHQ. Looking back, I'm incredibly proud of what we built together. We started with a simple belief: that emerging markets will play a major role in the future of Web3. Working alongside our local partners, we had the opportunity to support hundreds of founders across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America as they brought products to market across the Ethereum ecosystem. The experience strengthened my conviction that some of the most interesting innovation is happening far beyond the industry's traditional centers of gravity. Some convictions change. Others get stronger. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey over the past few years. Excited for what's next. I'll share more soon.

The choice is yours: Put that infrastructure in early and it's a fixed cost. Or defer it, and it will show up as reconciliation backlogs, extended investor due diligence, and month-end closes that take weeks. (7/7)

Most headlines frame crypto adoption as a migration: leave traditional finance, get something cheaper and faster. But the reality of business operations is that both systems must coexist and run simultaneously. Here's why, and what it means for businesses 🧵 (1/7)

What do businesses who successfully manage onchain and TradFi systems have in common? They build infrastructure components that connect both systems, so that reconciliation and other operational tasks stop costing staff time every month ↓

The result is a genuine tension: Consolidate with one provider and optimise cost but accumulate concentration risk. Spread across providers and build resilience but pay an ongoing operational tax. (6/6)

The stablecoin payment stack often gets described as modular. Pick a rail, pick an offramp, swap components when one underperforms. For the rail, this might be true. But for the offramp, it isn't 🧵 (1/6)

The connective tissue between onchain and TradFi systems determines how much every close, every audit, and every investor due diligence ends up costing. Businesses that ignore it may think they're saving money, but they're just deferring the costs.
