@LittleNorthrop
A fresh start, hallo!

So War Thunder is adding the F-16XL. But who gives a shit, the airline flight advisory is coming.

It effectively illustrates that you could not commit a mass shooting with technology from the 18th century

Post your yellow art!😑😑😑 pro tip: as an artist on twitter your primary goal should be to have enough art of various colours and themes that you can hop on every single art train you see

A U.S. Navy F-14D Tomcat Might Return to the Skies Thanks to Congress’ “Maverick Act” Three U.S. Navy F-14D Tomcats would be transferred to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center Commission in Huntsville, Alabama, and one might be made flyable again, following the approval of the “Maverick Act.” Story: theaviationist.com/2026/05/07/f-1…

A pet peeve I have in historical warfare analysis is people using proclaiming "always" and "never" (or linguistic equivalent) when it comes to war. Example: "Roman Gladii were thrusting weapons only, meant for stabbing while holding a shield in close quarters." Okay, correct. That's the intended tactic for using them. But war isn't like that. It's sloppy and chaotic. People use their shit however they can to stay alive and make the other guy not stay alive. Additionally, you can just look at them and see the edges are sharpened all the way down to the hilt. I guarantee no soldier would waste his time doing that if he 'never' chopped or slashed with it. I've seen a similar discussion about the Pilum. Yeah they're clearly made for throwing, not spear work. But I guarantee plenty of guys where stabbed with them point blank too. If you have something pointy at hand and there's a threat close, you'll do what you can. This extends to any variant of always or never you will hear when it comes to weapons or tactics.
