@whedonwins @mboyle1 An attack dog is not needed, the person needed is one who can successfully prosecute the president's agenda.

@mboyle1 Better than Gowdy, but Zeldin still isn't quite the attack dog that Trump really needs in the post

The NYT is reporting that President Trump is considering replacing Pam Bondi with Lee Zeldin. Not sure if that’s what will end up happening or not, but goes without saying that Zeldin — an absolute legend — would be an upgrade WHEREVER he goes.

@mboyle1 Bondi has misunderstood her role; she is not to bring negative attention to the President - and she has.

@presbycast Excellent observation! Today too many seek a Constantine rather than to be like Abraham.

@JennMGreenberg You do attract some myopic men. Has "Defiant Baptist" considered Madame Curie for example? or Katherine Johnson?

Besides being insufferable, the problem with the “women are only allowed to work in the home” crowd is that they fundamentally don’t understand the Bible or historical context. Acts 18:2-3 tells us, “And [Paul] found a Jew named Aquila … with his wife Priscilla … and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.” So, not only was Priscilla a tentmaker by trade who worked to support her household, but she and her husband both worked out of their home. Back in the day, you didn’t commute to the office. Almost everyone worked at home. Even Jesus, as a carpenter, would have had a covered porch or area at home where he built things. It wasn’t gender specific. Everyone did. When Paul wrote in Titus 2:5 that wives should be, “… self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind …” he was likely thinking of Priscilla making tents alongside her husband and himself.

You and the Bulls are expecting too much from a 24-year-old. It would be better to sit him down and have a conversation. This feels more like the Bulls trying to showcase their "woke" credentials than focusing on Jaden Ivey himself. The Bulls have lost an opportunity for a teachable moment that they will ultimately regret, especially in this political climate.

Dane, this isn’t “loyalty to Jesus” — it’s loyalty to exclusion. You’re calling the Bulls’ decision a “violation of the First Amendment,” but the First Amendment doesn’t give a player the right to make a workplace hostile for gay teammates or force his views on a team that demands unity. Jaden Ivey wasn’t “censored for believing what Scripture says.” He was let go because he publicly opposed LGBTQ+ Pride events, created division in a locker room, and refused to respect players who don’t share his convictions. You call it “cancelling.” I call it accountability. True faith doesn’t require segregation. True faith doesn’t make people feel unsafe. True faith doesn’t turn “convictions” into weapons against teammates. If your “greatest loyalty to Jesus” requires you to cancel a gay player for existing, then you’re not following Christ — you’re following your own narrow agenda and hiding behind a cross to do it. The Bulls didn’t cancel a believer. They fired a problem player. And that’s not “capitulation to the spirit of the age” — that’s doing the right thing. 🙏🚫

Dear @chicagobulls, I am a lifelong fanatical Bulls fan. Been to many games, bought your merch, and supported loyally through ups and downs. Until today. My greatest loyalty is, as is Jaden's, to Jesus Christ and truth. And I am grateful to live in a nation that protects freedom of religion and freedom of speech. Your violation of the first amendment--and, even more problematically, your ideologically selective while culturally amenable cancelling of a man who did nothing more than hold to his convictions--is a tragic capitulation to the spirit of the age. I urge you to do the right thing and publicly apologize to Jaden, acknowledging the error of censoring a man for believing what Scripture says and what Jesus taught. Respect, @JadensIV. -a Chicago pastor

This is grotesque. Tawdry Caesarism. Shameful cult of personality crap, and deeply un-American. Voted for him in 2020 & backed him in 2024 … but not for this, and not for another grand Mideast war.

From @TheAthletic: A week ago, all focus was on whether Tiger Woods could physically play in the Masters. Since Woods's car crash and DUI charge, there are now more complicating factors. We explain what this means for Woods and the 2026 Masters: nyti.ms/4bWAbLp
