Trumps acquittal isn't a win for anybody.

Okay, Mitch, if you really think Trump incited insurrection but you couldn't convict because he's no longer president, I've got a solution for you: Co-sponsor (w Chuck) a resolution invoking Sec 3 of 14th Am, barring anyone from holding office who has "engaged in insurrection."

57 votes to impeach someone for inciting an attempted overthrow of the US government is perhaps the best argument possible for ending the filibuster.

Reminder: Mitch McConnell said he would not hold a trial while former President Trump was still in office and he waited until January 20th to call out President Trump’s lies that the 2020 election was stolen from him.

BREAKING: 7 Republicans voted to convict, bringing the tally to 57-43. It’s not enough under senate rules, but a majority of US senators viewed Trump as guilty of inciting an insurrection against the United States.

I don’t think we should be means-testing stimulus checks. People are hurting and circumstances can change quickly. Better to cover as many as possible.
