I want to be crystal clear: if any individual, particularly elected officials or otherwise, helped plan, fund, coordinate, or cover up the violent insurrection happening now in Minneapolis, they should LAWYER UP NOW, because investigators are going to follow the facts wherever they lead. Violence, obstruction, collusion and corruption, from anyone, will be met with the full weight of the law and as a Member of Congress I am willing to do everything in my authority to enforce that.

I just spoke to the Pastor in Minnesota whose church was targeted. Attacks against law enforcement and the intimidation of Christians are being met with the full force of federal law. If state leaders refuse to act responsibly to prevent lawlessness, this Department of Justice will remain mobilized to prosecute federal crimes and ensure that the rule of law prevails.

A&E's The First 48 used to be in Minneapolis. I remember one case where Minneapolis police were investigating a homicide within the Somali community and were receiving absolutely NO help from potential Somali witnesses. They all run cover for their own. No wonder the department canceled with A&E.
