What made Shreyas Iyer’s catch so special was not just the athleticism, but the awareness behind it. He had to judge the speed of the ball, the height, where the boundary rope was, how close he was to stepping on it, and get his jump absolutely perfect. Then, while still in the air, he caught the ball and released it to a teammate before landing, all the while knowing exactly where that fielder was positioned. To process all of that in a split second takes unbelievable awareness, timing, fitness, and composure. @ShreyasIyer15 got everything spot on. One of the best catches I’ve ever seen live! x.com/IPL/status/204…

Started by day reading BS from Peyush Bansal of Lenskart on their anti Hindu HR policies and now watching this video of Namita Thapar poking fun on sanskar. The joke is on us. And @sharktankindia for promoting these woke opportunists.

A broke 26 year old with no job traded a red paperclip for a house. He never spent a dollar. > July 2005, Kyle MacDonald was unemployed in Montreal and tired of paying rent. > He looked at a red paperclip on his desk and posted it on Craigslist. Asking if anyone wanted to trade something bigger. > Two women in Vancouver offered him a pen shaped like a fish. He flew there to make the trade. > The fish pen became a hand sculpted doorknob in Seattle. > The doorknob became a camping stove in Massachusetts. > The stove became a Honda generator in California. > The generator became an instant party kit. Empty keg, beer IOU, neon Budweiser sign. > The party kit became a Ski Doo snowmobile. > The snowmobile became a two person trip to Yahk, British Columbia. > The trip became a box truck. The truck became a recording contract. The contract became a year of free rent in Phoenix. > The year of rent became an afternoon with Alice Cooper. > The afternoon with Alice Cooper became a KISS snow globe. > Everyone called him insane. He had just traded a music legend for a snow globe. > The snow globe became a paid speaking role in a Corbin Bernsen movie. > Turns out Bernsen owned 6,000 snow globes and wanted the KISS one bad enough to trade a part in his next film for it. > The movie role became a two story house at 503 Main Street, Kipling, Saskatchewan. > The town offered the house in exchange for the role. Citizens of Kipling auditioned for the part. > 14 trades. 12 months and zero dollars spent. > CBC covered it. He got flown to Japan to appear on game shows. Random House published a book in 14 languages. He ended up giving a TED Talk in Vienna. > Kipling built the world's largest red paperclip sculpture. > Guinness gave him the record for Most Successful Internet Trade. He didn't keep the house. He gave it back to the town. It's a cafe now called the Paperclip Cottage. The red paperclip was never about the paperclip.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner. That schedule was invented for coal miners burning 4,800 calories a day. You burn about 2,200 at a desk. The three-meal pattern took off in the 1850s, during the Industrial Revolution. Workdays ran twelve hours, and factory workers and miners needed a midday meal just to stay upright. Before then, most English people ate twice a day. Romans ate once. Lunch didn't even exist as a separate meal. The average American walks 3,000 to 4,000 steps a day, about a mile and a half. Anything under 5,000 puts you in sedentary territory. A sedentary 35-year-old guy needs about 2,200 calories a day to hold his weight steady. A sedentary woman, around 1,800. One chain-restaurant dinner runs 900 to 1,500 calories on its own. Researchers at the University of Toronto measured meals at 19 sit-down chains. Breakfasts averaged 1,226 calories, lunches 1,000, dinners 1,128. Do the math: 3,354 calories from main dishes alone. Throw in a soda and dessert and you clear 4,000, roughly what a coal miner used to eat in 1890. US food supply per person has climbed 23% since 1970. Our step counts have gone the opposite direction. The World Health Organization says more than 1 in 4 adults globally miss even the bare-minimum physical activity level. And 40.3% of American adults are now obese, according to the CDC's latest national health survey. Up from 30.5% in 2000. Three meals a day was built for people who swung pickaxes. The rest of us are borrowing their meal plan.

10,000 bees just landed on cars, balconies, and shop windows across a city in southern Israel. People locked their doors. The bees were running an election. When a bee colony gets too crowded in spring, it splits. The old queen takes about half the bees, they stuff themselves with honey (their only food supply, about 3 days worth), and leave. They land on the nearest flat surface, a parked car, a balcony railing, a storefront, and hang there in a giant buzzing clump while they figure out where to live next. They send out scout bees. Each scout flies off, finds a possible home (a hollow tree, a gap in a wall, whatever works), then comes back and does a waggle dance on top of the other bees. The dance is a set of figure-eights, and it tells every bee watching which direction the new home is (based on where the sun is), how far away it is, and how good it is. Other scouts go check the same spots. If they like what they see, they come back and dance for that spot too. Scouts that disagree will shove each other off the dance floor. Thomas Seeley, a biologist at Cornell who spent 30 years studying this, calls it a democratic election with campaigning. His book is literally called "Honeybee Democracy." He found that when about 80% of the scouts agree on one location, the entire swarm lifts off as a single cloud and flies to its new home. A 2023 paper in Science found young bees learn the waggle dance by watching older bees do it first, the same way a kid picks up words by listening to adults talk. Bees raised without older dancers to copy made mistakes they could never fix for the rest of their lives (about 38 days for a worker bee). Researchers at UC San Diego and the Chinese Academy of Sciences then showed in 2026 that bees dance more accurately when more bees are paying attention to them. The clump of bees hanging off someone's car in a parking lot keeps its own temperature at about 35°C (close to your body temperature) by vibrating their muscles together. No heater, no shelter, just thousands of tiny bodies working in sync. Each bee has a brain with fewer than a million nerve cells, packed into a space smaller than a sesame seed. Your brain has 86 billion. But Seeley found that when 10,000 of those tiny brains work together, their decision-making process mirrors how nerve cells fire inside your own skull. Each individual bee knows almost nothing. The swarm knows everything it needs to.

Tens of thousands of bees have suddenly swarmed across parts of Israel, prompting authorities to warn residents and shop owners to keep doors and windows closed.

You want to increase the number of Lok Sabha seats from 543 to 850. Great do it, but reduce the MP salary, benefits & perks in same proportion as they've to represent less number of people now. Why should taxpayers bear the expenses of salary & VIP treatment of additional MPs..

Sorry, does NOT cut it. Who drafted this atrocious document? How did it even pass the first cut in the internal meeting? Who drafts your policy? What is the current policy document? Why are you not making it public? How about a simple, clean, clear apology saying that you are sorry your company fu@&ed up? @peyushbansal, you don’t need to add ‘context’, you need to apologise. You company policy, as recent as Feb 2026 said explicitly that hijab was okay, but bindi/tilak/Kalawa was NOT okay. In a Hindu majority country where your customers are primarily Hindu. NEVER going to buy from @Lenskart_com EVER again. #NoBindiNoBusiness
Peyush Bansal@peyushbansal

I have listened to your concerns and I understand your sentiment around this. I want to add more context to my earlier post. The document currently circulating is an outdated internal training document. It is not an HR policy. That said, it contained an incorrect line about bindi/tilak that should never have been written and does not reflect our values or actual practice. When we discovered this on February 17, well before this became a public conversation, we immediately removed it. But I should have caught this earlier. As Founder and CEO, the responsibility for such lapses is mine. I have asked my team to bring all such materials under stricter review, and I will personally ensure this is addressed going forward. We are also looking into how this found its way into our training content. Let me be absolutely clear. Lenskart does not and will never restrict any form of respectful religious expression. This includes bindi, tilak, or any such symbols of faith. Our team members have always been, and will always be, free to express their beliefs with pride. I also want to thank everyone who raised this. Your voice helps us improve and stay true to what we stand for.

Hi, all. I’ve been seeing an inaccurate policy document going viral about Lenskart. I want to speak directly that this document does not reflect our present guidelines. Our policy has no restrictions on any form of religious expression, including bindi and tilak, and we continue to review our guidelines regularly. Our grooming policy has evolved over the years and outdated versions do not represent who we are today. We apologize for the confusion and concern this situation has caused. We as a company, continue to learn and build. Any lapses in our language or policies have and will continue to be addressed. We have thousands of team members across Bharat who wear their faith and culture proudly every day at our stores. They are Lenskart. Lenskart was built in Bharat, by Indians, for Indians. Every symbol and every tradition our people carry is a part of who we are as a company. I will never let that be compromised. 🙏

They are inter connected.. my dad was harassed by a M girl from the banking sector who kept insisting he had dues pending on a card which he had closed off years ago and had submitted all docs for. She repeatedly spoke very rudely to him and one day called him more than 8 times in an hour to elicit a response. He was supposed to be on the way to somewhere and kept getting disturbed as she called from multiple numbers. Eventually he spoke sharply to her and she went all bonkers after that. She circulated his number to who knows which all banks and agencies, he began to get incessant calls all day. Evening mein he told me and eventually we complained to the police and they spoke to the one who called when we were there. He told the PO that he got the number on a group they have to harass as he was told the owner of the number doesn't pay dues and harasses women on the phone. All numbers that called belonged to Ms. We registered complaints on banking ombudsman and other sites about this harassment. Years later we got to know that the entire call centre in Bhiwandi was engaged in harassment and frauds and eventually was closed down. They used to put numbers in some freeware which automated multiple messages (60+ per hour), fraud OTPs from various apps, and called incessantly for days on end. This is already happening.
