I don’t understand how people are ok to support someone who is constantly spewing out exaggerated nonsense and outright lies. We have created a world that relies on truth for the well being of humankind. I don’t get it. It’s like saying he’s an alcoholic, he’s just drunk. It’s ok he doesn’t mean it. No. It’s just not acceptable we want truthful politicians.

@WSJ Umm, you don't have to do anything. There's no threat of force here. But if you want to be the 51st State just say so.

@WSJ This whole Canada as a "51st State" thing is the most bizarre idea to come from the mouth of a sitting US President.

Can you give us some examples please? Or let’s just spread vague false information and forget that we have a history of being close friends for well over a century who have helped each other on countless occasions through wars and natural disasters. Not to mention trade that has benefited both countries. Let’s alienate our closest reliable friends and align with Russia. That makes sense.

It's a little difficult for Appalachians and other American rust belt cultures to feel empathy for a nation that has taken most all of the industry they depended on. It's hard to view a nation as an ally when they have harmed you and given you nothing in return for what was taken.

Americans need to denounce this 51st state crap. It's too quiet. Your closest ally, Canada, is watching closely. And we are noticing that not enough of you are speaking up.

In our view, the market is discounting the last leg of a rolling recession, which will give the Trump Administration and the Powell Fed many more degrees of freedom than investors expect, setting up the US economy for a deflationary boom in the second half of this year! Explain this in layman’s terms

Whatever the details, this looks bad for Mark Carney given his position at Brookfield. Moving any part of the company to NYC from Toronto just after Carney is tapped to lead an economic panel for Trudeau is bad news for Carney and Trudeau. theglobeandmail.com/business/artic…

@elonmusk What’s ironic is you criticizing SNL for the skit portraying you as lies …therefore not funny. But you align and spew the lies of the biggest lier on the planet.

@Eklektos_1689 @CTVNews No he did not refuse and demand more. He wants guarantees as there have been several ceasefire deals with Russia that have been broken before. Russia and the dictator Putin especially cannot be trusted.

Ok so assuming the war would not have started, I guess then I should assume that you would have addressed Russias reasons for starting the war in first place. So address those issues now. The war would be over. Or are you referring to the implied assumption that Russia wouldn’t have attacked because they feared President Trump . If so why spread lies about who started the war , stand up to the Russians and demand them to withdraw from Ukraine by a show of unified strength. Your administration appeasing the Russians and spreading their propaganda and lies is very concerning. I have the solution JD. Demand an immediate ceasefire, guarantee that the Ukrainian doesn’t join NATO. Have the Russian troops leave all occupied Ukrainian territory that they now have control of since 2022. Have a democratic vote in Crimea. Let the people choose which country they want to belong to. Simple show some strength stop spreading lies and Russian propaganda. Russia needs to be stopped now. We won’t tolerate a world where countries have ambitions to take over other countries. Those days are in the past. It is a global world now. Do the right thing. The world is now a global world and collectively that world is a smarter world than you think.

This is moralistic garbage, which is unfortunately the rhetorical currency of the globalists because they have nothing else to say. For three years, President Trump and I have made two simple arguments: first, the war wouldn't have started if President Trump was in office; second, that neither Europe, nor the Biden administration, nor the Ukrainians had any pathway to victory. This was true three years ago, it was true two years ago, it was true last year, and it is true today. And for three years, the concerns of people who were obviously right were ignored. What is Niall's actual plan for Ukraine? Another aid package? Is he aware of the reality on the ground, of the numerical advantage of the Russians, of the depleted stock of the Europeans or their even more depleted industrial base? Instead, he quotes from a book about George HW Bush from a different historical period and a different conflict. That's another currency of these people: reliance on irrelevant history. President Trump is dealing with reality, which means dealing with facts. And here are some facts: Number one, while our Western European allies' security has benefitted greatly from the generosity of the United States, they pursue domestic policies (on migration and censorship) that offend the sensibilities of most Americans and defense policies that assume continued over-reliance. Number two, Russians have a massive numerical advantage in manpower and weapons in Ukraine, and that advantage will persist regardless of further Western aid packages. Again, the aid is *currently* flowing. Number three, the United States retains substantial leverage over both parties to the conflict. Number four, ending the conflict requires talking to the people involved in starting it and maintaining it. Number five, the conflict has placed--and continues to place--stress on tools of American statecraft, from military stockpiles to sanctions (and so much else). We believe the continued conflict is bad for Russia, bad for Ukraine, and bad for Europe. But most importantly, it is bad for the United States. Given the above facts, we must pursue peace, and we must pursue it now. President Trump ran on this, he won on this, and he is right about this. It is lazy, ahistorical nonsense to attack as "appeasement" every acknowledgment that America's interest must account for the realities of the conflict. That interest--not moralisms or historical illiteracy--will guide President Trump's policy in the weeks to come. And thank God for that.

"This will not stand. This will not stand, this aggression against Kuwait."--George H.W. Bush on August 5, 1990. Full quote from Jon Meacham's biography. Future history students will be asked why this stopped being the reaction of a Republican president to the invasion of a sovereign state by a dictator.

You are not saying anything that everyone has known from day 1. Instead of appeasing the Russians tell them to with draw immediately. Ukraine won’t be a part of nato. Have a democratic vote by the people of crimea on what country they want to belong to and be done with it. Trumps outright lies about Ukraine starting this war is an insult to the intelligence of humanity. Do the right thing Elon. Don’t sprinkle us with your worldly wisdom of the obvious.

So with your logic any country can invade another sovereign nation and if that country defends itself they lack empathy and a brain. Are you paving the way for the US to invade Canada by this logic. I think you should have staid out of politics, seems to me you are the one lacking a brain by supporting Trumps misinformation and Russia. Obviously everyone wants this war to end. No one thinks the endless killings isn’t wrong Obviously Ukraine won’t be joining NATO. Stick to building robots and rockets Elon. I used to think of you as a saviour and a shining light to humanity giving us hope. I’m line for a Nobel Peace Prize. But your political motives are baffling. All I can assume is that somehow you will profit by siding with Russia. You are losing us man and that’s a shame. You could have been amongst the greats. There will be no denying your achievements, but it will come with an asterisk. Not too late you can redeem yourself. Say something intelligent and give us a fair unbiased solution for ending a war started by Russia. Not misinformation based on what you stand to gain.
