Pink vestments for Laertare Sunday (also a celebration of Mothering Sunday) Daffodils as well. It was fabulous to see so many people in church despite all the restrictions that had been put in place for the half marathon. We are very grateful for our very committed congregation.

This vestment was tucked away at the back of a deep drawer in the @liverpoolparish Vestry. The embroidered motifs of the Passion were almost certainly done by a now forgotten needlewoman, and it's good to bring her art into the light again, this Lent, to the greater glory of God.

Girl Guides from across Merseyside gathered @LiverpoolParish to mark their centennial Thinking Day, celebrating their founders, and the friendship Guiding has given to so many, across the world over the last century. We recalled Christ's generous friendship, as a living exemplar.

Shrove Tuesday Liverpool Pancake Race in the churchyard today, as chefs from hotels and restaurants in the city gave their all to receive the winner's frying pan. 2 laps, with stops for flipping and toppings. The winner flew around in pumps, having come second last year in crocs.

Due to a forecast of heavy snow this evening in central Liverpool tonight's service of Evensong is sadly cancelled, but the good news is that next Sunday, 11th January, at 6pm, there will be Evensong again, with the Liverpool Bach Collective, to which all are welcome.
