Today, we continue to nurture this strong and excellent relationship, forged in blood and guided by a shared vision for prosperity and stability in our nations and the broader SADC region.

Today, I bid farewell to the Mozambique delegation following their visit to Zimbabwe for the 46th Independence Celebrations. We were honoured to host His Excellency Prof. L.M. Botswana President His Excellency Advocate Duma Gideon Boko has arrived at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport for a three day State visit. He was received by His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Was treated to a 21- gun salute before he proceeded to inspect the Guard of Honour. During his visit, President Boko, together with His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa, will co-chair the Fifth Session of the Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission, on Wednesday 22 April, strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, across a range of sectors. ZITF Settings Bulawayo Province The 66th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair opens its gates today, with Botswana President Duma Boko expected to open the exhibition on Thursday. Organisers expect this year’s fair to provide a favourable platform for Africa’s industrial heavyweights connecting manufacturing breakthroughs and digital shifts directly to global value chains. About 485 direct exhibitors, including 100 leaseholders, will be participating. International participation is quite strong with 46 international exhibitors from 29 countries including Belarus, Belgium, Botswana, China, Denmark, Eswatini, Ethiopia, European union (EU), France and India. As a nation, we should appreciate what President Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa has done so far for our nation. The fact that he made a deliberate decision to ensure that all national events are rotated across all provinces was a real definition of uniting the nation. I have noticed that for the past years, each time independence celebrations are held in a particular area, there will be rain. To those who understand rain with special events, this symbolizes that Mhondoro and Musikavanhu are happy. Well done, Cde President.
