In a wedding in Lancaster, PA this weekend & apparently @ShawnMendes is in PA according to the radio, which makes my musical heart happy.😂 Small world! Plus the venue had palm trees which give me an instant smile every time. When life gives you palm trees, don’t question it.🌴💗

I wish embracing empathy was an act of common sense to more people. The world would be better off if more people tried to understand what others go through. 💗

I don’t think a younger version of myself would recognize who I am today. I still cling to the empathy, the genuine kindness, the hopefulness and the expression through the arts that kept me going as a kid. Those still keep me afloat and drive my resilience.

I often don’t give myself credit for the things I’ve overcome. I kind of wish that was just a natural thing for me to allow myself to recognize. Either way, I actively seek out opportunities to make sure others don’t have to go through the same things I did alone.

I wish people realized more that just because someone is kind and tries to keep a smile on their face and see the positive for themselves and others- doesn’t mean they don’t struggle. Sometimes it means they struggle immensely and have to make an effort to keep going every day.
