@Hon2qur @woye1 Why do politicians in Nigeria always visit each other in their homes and not their offices? A home is a private place while an office is for business affairs including political meetings.

@jidesanwoolu Policy credibility ultimately won’t be judged by keynote discussions, but by whether Lagos households feel measurable improvement in cost of living and services.

I delivered the keynote address at the Economist Group’s book launch for The World Ahead 2026: Nigeria. It was great to sit down with some of our sharpest economic minds to discuss where we are headed. We moved past the usual statistics and discussed how our policies are affecting the daily lives of people across Lagos. The future of Nigeria depends on the work we are doing right here in our city. I’m confident in the path we’ve taken and I’m personally committed to making sure we stay ahead of the curve.

Today, consultations continued with GAC leaders including Chief Oluwamuyiwa Sosanya, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Asiwaju Chief Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, and Prince Biodun Ogunleye. Building on earlier engagements, our discussions remained honest and forward looking, focused on the future of Lagos

@PlatinumDayo I totally agree with you, Dayo ✅ My hunch is it has to do with his health. Remember he’s been having some health challenges. Well, whether Wale Edun or his successor, which one is there to pursue policies that help families rather than career politicians? None

Wishing Mr. Wale Edun the very best as he exits office as Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. Having watched the politics up close, I can say this is a deeply unfortunate and potentially miscalculated decision for Nigeria’s economic reform journey. At a time when consistency, trust and economic discipline are most needed, removing one of the few steady hands at the centre of reform sends the wrong signal. To the dismay of “others” Mr. Wale Edun chose discipline over applause, reform over populism, and stability over short-term, schoolboy politics. Many of the gains in revenue, investor confidence and fiscal credibility came from difficult decisions taken by him under immense pressure. History will judge this decision more honestly than politics ever will.

Moving forward on delivering Youth initiatives, I formally inaugurated a multi-stakeholder Technical Committee to drive the integration of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) retrofitting skills into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Programme. The Committee brings together critical institutional stakeholders, including representatives from the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), the Presidential Initiative on CNG and Electric Vehicles (Pi-CNG & EV), and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development. This initiative is a deliberate and strategic intervention at the intersection of youth empowerment, energy transition, and economic inclusion. By embedding CNG retrofitting competencies within the NYSC SAED framework, we are positioning the programme to equip thousands of young Nigerians annually with practical, market-relevant technical skills that align with the country’s evolving energy landscape.

From Ekiti farm gate to the dining table. Across Ekiti, markets are steadier, kitchens are fuller, and the pressure is easing. Through the Ounjẹ Ekiti programme, Governor Biodun Oyebanji is bringing relief closer to home, making food more accessible and affordable for Ekitikete and the impact is felt where it counts on the table. This is not trial and error. It’s a system that works, shared prosperity, one household at a time. And as the saying goes, you don’t change a winning horse mid-race. #BAO2BAO | #back2back is staying the course so food remains within reach. 🎥 Watch the impact. See why Ekiti is moving forward. #BAO2BAO #back2back #OunjeEkiti #EkitiFeeds #FoodSecurity #ContinuityMatters

Today, I had the pleasure of receiving our dear immediate past Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, in Yenagoa to inaugurate two of our completed projects: the Agbura-Ox-Bow Lake road and the Oporoma Referral Hospital. This visit, only a few days after Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, inaugurated the historic 630-metre Angiama-Oporoma bridge across the River Nun, is very exciting to Prof. Osinbajo, who, four years ago on February 19th, 2022, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the bridge. Today, as we drove to Oporoma to inaugurate the Referral Hospital, Prof. Osinbajo asked that we stop the convoy so he could physically feel the Angiama-Oporoma bridge. What a nostalgic feeling for him, seeing such a landmark project in a hitherto forested site! At Oporoma town, where the people of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area gathered to host Prof. Osinbajo and me for our commitment to deliver the bridge that has been on the cards for over 60 years, I appreciated the former Vice President for being a great friend of Bayelsa State. Interestingly, today, I was told that the construction of the Oporoma Referral Hospital started as far back as 1973. Truly, this is yet another historic project to boost healthcare in the area. Our Government of Assured Prosperity is redefining governance and we are taming the hitherto “difficult” terrain to deliver legacy projects for our people. Once again, thank you Professor Yemi Osinbajo, for identifying with us. Nua! Mbana sir!
