@UKGastroDr Errrm not the right thrust at all may I suggest? how many GI sympts seen in primary care in this period? Many thousand I suspect, sometimes not settling, with do nothing or therapeutic trials or changes. Let's no go down pt concerns. If only it was as easy as you scribble.

Some words that began as mistakes: A ‘sneeze’ was originally a ‘fnese’, but the ‘f’ was misread as an old-fashioned ‘s’. A pea was once a ‘pease’, but we thought this was a plural and invented ‘pea’ for just the one. An apron was a ‘napron’ until the ‘n’ migrated to the ‘a’.
