In a supermarket & newsagent near you! 🗞️ I’m in the booth for #WorldDiabetesDay2024 , talking to the media about the exciting collaboration between @SanofiUK , @BT1DUK & @BeanoOfficial on the new character Rhymin’ Reema 🙌 Because representation in the mainstream matters🤞

But GP leaders vigorously attacked the Tory plans, saying the party has underfunded general practice for over a decade, leading to the current situation of practice decline and closures. buff.ly/4c7su3v

@gpollara I could say, that's the last cup of tea you're making for me. Grrrrr But no, you mock my tea, you'll be making tea for life.....

"They said it 'looks weird'" (to self inject insulin on court) - this is not acceptable language #LanguageMatters #T1D @rolandgarros - apologise and find a solution for @AlexZverev now! #FrenchOpen2023
Breakthrough T1D UK@BT1DUK

People with #Type1Diabetes must inject many times a day to stay alive. We’re shocked that @AlexZverev will not be able to access his insulin on court in the French Open. Everyone must be able to manage their #Type1 wherever they are, anytime @rolandgarros express.co.uk/sport/tennis/1…

I think a retraction and apology is in order for this @TheSun #T1D #LanguageMatters What do you think @DiabetesUK @JDRFUK @parthaskar Time to check on my little 'potato' before bedtime....#ParentingT1

@DiabetesUK @TheSun @chrisbrighty1 Just for reference “couch potatoes” isn’t an appropriate term to describe someone with type one diabetes. true that regular exercise reduces blood sugars. Many type one diabetics are actually athletes or more active than the average person.

For how many days is it acceptable to keep tweeting about work presented at #ECCMID2023? There's weeks' worth of back catalogue to catch up on!

First day back at school and I just said 'Have an awesome day' as my daughter happily ran in.... Without needing to say 'Can I scan you first?' To me, that's an important #DexcomG7 difference #T1D #parentingt1 #GBdoc

I've been seeing "tribe" used in various diabetes circles, lately. I was sure that I'd seen a video on the use and reasons to avoid using that word. Couldn't find it, but! Google can be useful and this explains it: matadornetwork.com/read/indigenou… So, peers & friends, there's that.

I can't think of any other condition which requires such unrelenting commitment and deep understanding by the individual as #T1D I'd not fully appreciated this until my daughter was diagnosed #DiabetesAwarenessMonth (despite being a doctor 😔)
Diabetic Dad@DiabeticDadUK

A thing which I would love non-diabetic folk to understand; The frequent necessity to "calculate" and consider the "what if..." despite doing very normal activities. Their brains don't need to think like ours and carry the exhaustion that follows. #DiabetesAwarenessMonth #GBDoc

Hearing my 9 year old say 'Can we try 𝘹𝘺𝘻 for hypos because my friend does?' demonstrates the positivity of peer support in #T1D Thanks to @t1_today for an amazing conference - full of fun, laughter and the opportunity for my girls to find their people
