@alexhallhall Maybe it partly is, but it is also a system which has given us that most precious of things: domestic stability on our island for nearly 4 centuries. That has rarely been matched elsewhere in the world. So by all means find a better system - but point to it please.

Maybe they are affected because their parents or grandparents had to emigrate because of the troubles or British policy. Even before 1916 many Monaghan people emigrated to Glasgow and Edinburgh due to poverty.

@1goodtern I agree with most replies here—increase in ADHD diagnoses not down to COVID itself per se, but in children who develop Type 1 diabetes, a higher % than normal go on to develop ADHD—& Covid has increased the incidence of Type 1 and similar-so could some dev. ADHD as a result?
