The Nairobi bypass felt like it was designed mainly for the wealthy we paid over 20,000 UGX just to use it. It made me wonder how ordinary citizens who rely on it frequently manage such costs.
In many of these countries, salaries may seem higher on paper, but the cost of living quickly eats into earnings. By the end of the month, you often realize there’s little or nothing left to save.
Back home in Uganda, it’s different. Even though incomes may be lower, people have strong survival instincts and financial discipline. Somehow, they find ways to cut costs and save more, making life feel more sustainable in the long run.

God knew Adam and Eve would eat the fruit before he even created them. He is all knowing, that is the whole point. He knew the snake would tempt Eve before he even created the snake. He knew all of this before he created the earth. So he built everything, set it all in motion knowing exactly how it would play out, and then punished everyone for it. If you say he didn’t know, then he is not all knowing. And if he knew but couldn’t stop it, he is not all powerful.

@Mercy16031057 @PhineasDennis @IamBrian___ I think it’s a generational thing. We thought those brought up in Nairobi were living a better life. Our parents thought boarding schools were better. It’s the extreme opposite. I wish my kids can go to a good day high school and stay at home

I didn’t even know that option existed! Personally, I wouldn’t pick a “women only” ride. I need to sit at the front with a fellow man, talk politics, ask if he’s “monitoring the situation”, and hear his background. My first question after greeting him is always, "Biashara iko aje?". I find that it opens up an avenue for so many conversations. They always have a good story to tell.

Another bodaboda incident involving a drunk lady. She had no money to pay the bodaboda rider. When the operator confronted her (together with his colleagues), she became violent. She grabbed a projectile and hit the rider. The rider decided to face her like a man, and the brawl escalated. Attempts by the guy in red to separate them did not succeed.
Who is wrong between the two?

@joan_reals @4Real_KE Now that I have the confidence to ride my motorcycle from Nanyuki to Nairobi and back, I find the trip so pleasant, quick, and stress-free. A two-hour ride beats a three-hour drive any day! Plus, the dual carriageway from Marua has improved the ride quality a lot.

Driving from Nanyuki to Nairobi almost daily can be extremely draining.
And sometimes I'm like ,
" what next after making that dollar ?"
Anyways, the sweet scenic road & some old country music makes the drive bearable 🙂.
