Canton tried to block Sgt. Sean Goode’s records today… and judge Gildea wasn’t having any of it. 😅
This hearing focused on one thing: Read’s team forcing the Town of Canton to turn over Goode’s records.
Canton’s argument came down to three points, as pointed out by judge Gildea:
🔹️scope
🔹️relevance
🔹️ongoing internal affairs investigation
But then they admitted that most of these records would likely be public… they just don’t want to turn them over right now because the IA is still open. Their concern is that they don’t want to impact witnesses or give anyone a “heads up” before interviews are done.
Judge Gildea immediately pushed back and asked what actual legal authority supports withholding everything. To which, Canton didn’t have one. No case, no statute, just “practical concerns.” Gildea made it clear that’s not enough.
Rosenberg (for Read) came in focused and honestly pretty surgical. He said this is not broad at all, it’s targeted. They are asking for:
🔸️Goode’s disciplinary records
🔸️communications between Goode and key witnesses, including Proctor
Then he dropped the biggest point of the hearing. A deposition was taken THIS MORNING where the plaintiffs leaned heavily on the claim that Karen Read pushed a “false narrative” about the investigation.
So Rosenberg flipped it right back on them. If the O’Keefes are relying on that investigation to prove their case, then the credibility of the officers involved, including Goode, is absolutely fair game. If there are prior complaints or misconduct, that goes directly to how the investigation was handled, what evidence exists or doesn’t and whether that “false narrative” claim actually holds up. That is squarely within discovery.
Canton’s position started to unravel after that. 😬
They claimed Rosenberg’s requests were overbroad and that they were hit with a “barrage” of communications. Gildea wasn’t buying that either. He asked a very simple question, if you’re willing to produce some of these records anyway, why didn’t you just do that and work out the rest. He also said frustration is not a legal reason to deny a motion to compel.
Where this leaves things:
The judge is forcing both sides to actually talk and figure it out. Given his responses, we can safely assume that he expects Canton to produce what they can now (especially disciplinary records) and for both sides to narrow any remaining disputes.
Bottom line, Canton tried to hold everything back using the ongoing IA investigation. The judge wasn’t willing to accept that without real legal support, and Read’s team tied these records directly to the core of the plaintiffs’ claims.
We will be back in court May 7th for a regular status conference and back again for this matter on May 14th. 🫶

ADA: "Was Ms. Adams a perfect witness? No. She was argumentative, avoiding, difficult.” He could have asked, “Should be inducted into the bad witness Hall of Fame?” Zero corroborating evidence!! How this got by probable cause is baffling. It’s time for Morrissey to step down before a new DA is elected. An absolute humiliation for the Norfolk DA’s office.

Help needed to identify a witness in a missing persons case.I have been activated for a search in the Grand Canyon for 26-year-old Sandarsh Krishna, who is missing from the Bright Angel Trail. An unknown individual, pictured here, found Sandarsh’s backpack and turned it in at a lodge near the trailhead. This person is not a suspect.
We urgently need to identify him so we can determine exactly where he found the backpack. The backpack was turned in on April 28, 2026. Please help spread this post so there is a chance this individual sees it or someone recognizes him. The National Park Service Rangers are leading the investigation and search and rescue efforts.
We are en route to the search now. If you have any information about this individual, please contact Grand Canyon National Park Rangers or email me at steve@searchinvestigations.org
Please note: I do not check Twitter/X DMs Thank you. #GrandCanyon #BrightAngelTrail

100%. No offense to the other candidates but they should formally endorse Adam Deitch. The fate of everything everyone has fought for hangs in the balance of this election. If Greg Connor wins, the cover-up continues indefinitely.
Aidan Kearney@DoctorTurtleboy
They aren’t just giving Connor a chance, they are handing him the election. He is the front runner and will win with 30-40% of the vote unless others drop out and let Deitch run head to head

Lead federal investigator of the John O'Keefe case, Adam Deitch, showed to call out the corruption within the district attorneys office.
Meanwhile, the chief trial counsel of the same office, Greg Connor, chose not to show at all and instead went door knocking in Quincy. 🥴

Grateful for the opportunity to join last week’s Norfolk County DA candidates forum at BC Law for a meaningful conversation about the issues facing Norfolk County and the future of the District Attorney’s Office. Thank you to the Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy for hosting, and to everyone who came out and took part in the discussion!

In early December 1978, #TheresaCorley was last seen within 1 mile from her home. Days later, on Dec 8, 1978, her body was found along Route 495 in Bellingham, #Massachusetts. Theresa’s case is still unresolved. If you have any information, please call the Norfolk County DA at 781-830-4800 #TipTuesday

Oakley Carlson should still be here.
She should be laughing, learning, growing, and surrounded by people who protect and love her. Instead, her story is a painful reminder of what happens when the most vulnerable are not kept safe.
Oakley deserved better. Every child does.
We will continue to say her name, share her story, and demand accountability so that no other child is failed in the same way.

Things are not looking good for Greg Connor who is the hand-picked successor to District Attorney Michael Morrissey.
Connor, who has been Morrissey’s right-hand man for 15 of the 16 years he’s been in office, did not show up to the first candidate debate of this election season at BC Law. 😬
His team’s explanation? He had “other campaign obligations” that day. But there was nothing posted on his campaign social media showing any event or obligation that would justify skipping a major debate.
Instead, what we saw after the fact tells a different story. 🤔
The very next day, Connor posted that he had been door knocking in Quincy. The day after that, he appeared at an event where a union publicly showed support for him.
So let’s be 100% real about what this looks like. Connor chose door knocking in Quincy (which is essentially Morrissey’s home base) over sitting on a stage and debating the other candidates. Candidates which includes Adam Deitch, who headed the Federal probe of the John O’Keefe murder.
That doesn’t read like strategy and instead reads like avoidance... which this playbook itself should feel familiar. Lean on Quincy. Highlight union backing. Stay in controlled environments.
🗣It’s the same exact blueprint Morrissey used for years.🗣
Connor isn’t just aligned with Morrissey. He’s running the same campaign. And for voters who care about accountability and transparency, especially in cases like John O’Keefe and Sandra Birchmore, that’s something worth thinking about before September.
There also has been no correction of his original statement where he denied any input of the Karen Read prosecution. It was recently uncovered (via a public records request) that Connor is included in over 7,400 emails after the first trial.

So happy for Kelsey and her beautiful boy. The delays were unforgivable and frankly in violation of the laws requiring judges to make findings that Caidyn was at risk of harm and visits should be stopped. Never saw those findings! As I said earlier, this case was mishandled to the detriment of that little child. So happy they have been reunited.
