@KaelanJoyce Democracy is electing one’s parliament and government. We have done that on manifesto mandates to do a Gibexit treaty that protects British sovereignty that is what is happening. Both government and opposition, entire Parliament, supports the treaty that is democracy at work

Hard to tell, because the treaty has been forced on us and very little public debate if any has been allowed at all. How can we call ourselves a democracy? These are decisions that will have massive impacts on all of us, but just a few lawyers get to decide? Surreal
huevo grande@llanito13

@KaelanJoyce It seems to be the obvious outcome from this treaty. Just wonder how dire things must be for Joe Bossano to support this. But ofcourse, why be honest with the people who pay their salaries?

@KaelanJoyce Further the Spanish right is condemning it as having ceded sovereignty over Gibraltar… what clearer evidence of a win-win for Gibraltar!

Yes they are trying to force it through ASAP. Even though they barely got into Government at the last election. They do not have the mandate to agree to this deal in my opinion. Barely clinging on to power ....
Tony Evans@tonyevans88

@KaelanJoyce This was a demonstration organised with Government support. The Government today wants the treaty fast-tracked without debate and knowing that sovereignty is retained

@KaelanJoyce Both the GSLP-Liberals and the GSD included in their respective electoral manifestos that a treaty that protected Gibraltar’s British status would be concluded: they both now approve it. There can be no clearer electoral and democratic mandate!

24 years today, a very different Gibraltar. Now most sit back, do nothing and stay silent as OUR government not even the UK one give up concessions. It's like an alternative reality... surreal as far as i am concerned.

Because it is and people should have the right to listen to opposing views via official channels, not just fed Government sponsored propaganda..with no alternative views or an sort of criticism (in my opinion). Doesn't anyone else find this extremely odd?

@KaelanJoyce @GBCNewsroom @YourGibraltarTV @GibChronicle And yet you continue to post on X your opposition to this bad deal

@KaelanJoyce What is needed from opponents of the treaty is viable economic and public finance policies to deal with the consequences… go on I dare you… and it’s not enough to say we did it once… ‘Support and sustain’ and defence expenditure is no longer there…

Call me skeptical but I really struggle to endorse a treaty deal on Gibraltar that has been machinated by the UK Labour Party and the Spanish Government. If history has repeatedly taught us anything is that neither can be trusted. Public debate on text via formal channels needed
