Midnight errors can come from the node, wallet, SDK, compiler, runtime, proof server, indexer, DApp connector… or something underneath all of that. That's a lot of repos to grep when all you have is `166`, `ContractRuntimeError`, a GraphQL error, or some weird Effect `_tag`. @MdnghtNtwrkXprt has a status-code plugin that acts like an error router for the @MidnightNtwrk stack. Paste in the error, and it can help identify: ➢ which component produced it ➢ what the code or error type actually means ➢ likely fixes, ordered by what to try first ➢ related errors that often point to the same root cause ➢ whether the entry is active or retired ➢ the upstream source it was verified against It also has a lookup command for more precise searches: `/midnight-status-codes:lookup 166` `/midnight-status-codes:lookup --search "dust.*spend"` `/midnight-status-codes:lookup --source compact-compiler` Useful when you’re not debugging “a Midnight problem”; you’re debugging a node rejection wrapped by a wallet call surfaced through a DApp connector inside a Claude session.
