Is it just me… or does the officer need more training on how to take a suspect down? I’m all for the police… but this was pathetic. He should have known moves to bring him to the ground… or tasered him into compliance. Struggling like that for so long put both lives in danger. He could have pulled the officer’s gun being so close like that!! 😬 Am I wrong?

𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧: Doug Martin passed away while in police custody after suffering a medical emergency, per @sfchronicle Police were called at 4:15 am to a house for what was described as a home invasion. They also were told that the person involved was having a medical emergency. Officers said there was a brief struggle before Martin was detained and then became unresponsive while in custody. He later passed away at the hospital. Officers involved are on paid administrative leave while an investigation takes place. The cause of death is still to be determined.
