This is an absolutely shocking interview. Trevor Phillips doesn't even try to hide his obvious burning political hostility. Zack Polanski did very well as his interviewer distorted what he said and treated him with contempt.

When Jewish people speak out against genocide, why are our voices dismissed? And smirking while I describe someone Nazi-saluting at me isn’t just disrespectful - it feels deeply antisemitic. youtu.be/7VkfYJgLljE?si…

@Tyneside82 Anyone who wants us to lose for whatever reason is not a true supporter, every game no matter your personal opinions you should support the team. Once that final whistle goes then you can vent your frustration etc. For me Howe has taken us as far as he can.

Howe saved us, got TWO cup finals (won 1) and 2 x UCL runs. Dealt with the mess behind the scenes, representing us so well (and brought some respect under the PIF sportswashing cloud). Yet there are #nufc fans who would rather see us lose, than hope he turns a corner. Senseless.

@nufctel @NUFC We were dreadful as we have been nearly all season apart from a few games, what happened to the days of getting off your seat for skill and talent rather than just a sliding tackle?

@nufctel @NUFC Non of us are experts we are all fans with our own opinions which is what makes it so good to discuss things. What i wish for is to not be bored week after week with the same rubbish with no sight of it changing.

@Locksta22 @NUFC I’m not an expert I’m just a fan off 55 years or so with an opinion but to replace Howe would have to be a big name who would come my question and work under the PL rules in my time no one else has won a trophy other than Joe Harvey when I was 4 be careful what you wish for

@Locksta22 @NUFC I’d say a percentage have booed a small percentage which of course they are entitled to do of all those who want him out no one can realistically name someone better who WILL come

@nufctel @NUFC During every game every supporter should support the team and the manager for the full duration of the game but that doesnt mean everyone thinks him staying is right. Once the final whistle goes people can boo if thats how they feel, just like the last number of home games.

@Locksta22 @NUFC That wasn’t my point I said the crowd showed today who they want I think he may go himself then in a years time I’ll look out for the negativity from fans like yourself demanding the next manager out the sad thing is I know you’ve seen worse than this

@nufctel @NUFC As ive said before my love is for NUFC not Eddie Howe, he has done amazing and I’m so grateful for what he has done but even Stevie Wonder can see how far we have fallen and he doesn’t know what to do to sort it. That dressing room is split its so obvious.

Glad we won. Every fan will be. We rode our luck and caught a break. But is this really what we are all about now. Taking these photos in the dressing room every time we win a match? I think it is embarrasing. Am i in the minority in thinking this? Maybe one for @ToonPolls ? #nufc

@CraigHope_DM How was that a statement of intent? We were dreadful with tactics yet again in most parts. 6 of those starters cant be anywhere near the 1st 11 next season but unfortunatley under Howe most will still be 1st choice next season.

If you can't pay people a wage they can live on, your business is subsidised by the state. And that's NOT a sound business model. The economically illiterate person is you, pretending to be a good businessman while expecting others to support you through their taxes .
Peter McCormack 🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪@PeterMcCormack

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

Don’t particularly feel sorry for any business owner whose enterprise is only viable because they pay poverty wages.

@LukeEdwardsTele Its not all about the strikers, we have zero creativity. Play to your strikers strengths and guess what you can bring the best out in them, which is what we havent done all season and which is why alot of supporters are frustrated with Howe.

@LukeEdwardsTele Why does he deserve to stay? Because he won a cup last season? How long does that last 1 season or 2 seasons? Lets let him waste more money then sack him next season when it will be the same tactics and ideas next season and we get set back even further.

Newcastle’s season is over and all that is left is to search through the wreckage for survivors. The manager will take the blame but I hope he survives. He deserve to but there were several players out there today who should hang their heads in shame. Some are cowards, some aren’t good enough and others clearly don’t want to be there anymore #nufc

@CraigHope_DM Forgot how to win? Seriously, call it for what it is they are devoid af any identity any creativity any form of tactical awareness. Its been coming for long than just this season but nobody will call it out because of the cup win last season.

FT: Newcastle 1 Bournemouth 2 NUFC look like a team who has forgotten how to win, how to score. They need this season done. Boos on full-time Better 2nd half & definite lift for presence of Bruno, but B'mouth winner was about wanting it more - NUFC were second to every ball
