Just following on from the Aldegheri tweet from last week - This from Deegan was the reddest of red cards. Don’t know why the referee goes yellow and bunker instead of just flashing red.

If you went off how rugby has been refereed for years now - this is a stonewall penalty. Its a shoulder to the back of the neck. The manor in which Piardi described the collision was wrong. If this was a Fijian on and Englishman, its a penalty every day of the week. #Lions2025
