Today’s violence in Manipur does not look random. The Chief Minister’s road journey to Jiribam was a major statement for restoring normalcy. The Hun Thadou cultural event in Imphal was another clear signal toward dialogue and coexistence. Peace was slowly taking shape. Then comes an early morning bomb attack from Kuki militants, killing innocent children. Protests erupt. Of course, the Government "Is pleased to announce" THE INTERNET SHUT DOWN as an act that only encourages more youth to take to the streets to strengthen the agitations. Congratulations, Tensions are reignited!! This pattern is deeply suspicious. Whenever peace gestures emerge, violence follows. When communities move closer, provocations appear. Weapons surface, emotions are triggered, and the cycle restarts. This is exactly how conflicts are kept alive by design. We must not fall into this trap. Emotional retaliation only serves those who profit from perpetual instability. We must respond strategically through constitutional, legal, and democratic means. Otherwise, we become part of the very cycle we claim to oppose. Peace requires restraint. Justice requires strategy.

Visited Raj Medicity this morning to assess the condition of the injured mother who tragically lost her two children in last night’s heinous attack at Tronglaobi Awang Leikai, Moirang.
