Today Canadian Blind Hockey partnered with the @SMUHuskies and @SMUMensHockey to host a "Learn to Skate & Try Blind Hockey" Program with students who are blind and or partially sighted from the Halifax region. Thank you to the Huskies for welcoming us and sharing the ice!

@BrookWeightman @Sid_Seixeiro But you have to understand. From a players perspective, that is shocking to see. It’s an emotional game. Need a new focus point to think about. A fight gets the players heads back in the game. And gets the energy in your team going again. That’s it.
English

@BrookWeightman @Sid_Seixeiro Justice!? Man... you’re completely missing the point here. The fight WAS NOT about getting justice. It was about sparking the team again, not sure how many times I have to say that. The players acknowledged the play was accidental. There is no denying that it was an accident.

@BrookWeightman @Sid_Seixeiro You’ve maybe had your head shaken a few too many times to comprehend the reasoning. Or maybe you’ve never actually been in that team environment and understand how teams react to certain events throughout a hockey game.
English

@LoganDeNoble97 @Sid_Seixeiro Man if perry actually fought you might be out a foligno too....fight didbt help the leafs just a sad attempt to pretend it did and a justification was tavares shake your head
English

@BrookWeightman @Sid_Seixeiro Lol if Perry actually fought .. wasn’t aware he was a heavy weight contender, I think foligno is capable of handling himself. And you’re missing the point. Even if 71 gets hurt in the fight. It’s still going to creat a bit of a spark within the leafs team.
English

@BrookWeightman @Sid_Seixeiro You said it yourself. It’s playoff hockey. The fight was 100% necessary from the leafs stand point. Each game is too important to let that hit/ injury possibly dictate the outcome of the game.
English

@LoganDeNoble97 @Sid_Seixeiro If your team afrer 10 minutes isnt into playoff hockey tell them to get the clubs out. Too much time between the incident to look it up and watch to make a betterbcall then stew on the bench and make your own call
English

@BrookWeightman @Sid_Seixeiro LOL. Are you joking? That was an awful collision.. both teams were clearly shook up. The fight isn’t about the hit being bad. It’s about getting your team to respond when their minds are obviously going to be on the health of JT and not playing the game.

Thank you all for voting. This is a pretty cool honour. I remember growing up watching Liam and Derek play.I even sat next to Derek in the room during my first training camp. It was a dream come true to play for the Petes and to share this jersey # with so many great players!
