@monolilium Yeah that’s fair enough, a clip of the movie and your opinion on it doesn’t represent the entire movie as a whole. But reading a summary doesn’t represent the experience of actually watching it either. If this is how you engage with movies I feel bad for you
English

@LoganDorkis i think it's fair to judge something like this on its own as it's presented. i did read the film summary. an opinion about a single clip is not a totalizing opinion about the entire movie
English

am i crazy or is this acting really bad
Carnival of Horror@HorrorCarnival
Obsession (2026) What makes the scene so unsettling is that it’s the first time Bear questions the fantasy version of Nikki created by the wish. The moment he doubts her story, her behavior unravels — and many viewers see it as the point where the film shifts into full psychological horror.
English

@monolilium It will definitely make more sense if you try watching it that way. And I can’t be certain but you might even end up getting a kick out of it too 🤷♀️
English

@monolilium Yeah this scene is kinda weird and awkward when you don’t know the context of what led up to it and why the characters are acting like this. But that’s why they make the movie to be watched in order from beginning to end and not just random clips on twitter. Maybe try that?
English

@metaplexmovies It looks mid. That’s all there is to it. The guy has made some of the best movies of all time but he’s got a lot of stinkers too. Were you mad eight years ago that not enough people were getting hype about Ready Player One? That absolute turkey? Shut up lol
English

@RIPYaksbeard @morekissing Actually what are you trying to say I’m wrong about? Are you saying that tattooing doesn’t require skill? Or that art school doesn’t teach you anything? If you have this low of an opinion of artists that’s kinda mean tbh. Please be more specific about what your disagreement is
English

@LoganDorkis @morekissing Or art school for that matter either lol
English

@a_dzzle @morekissing Also I know this probably isn’t what you meant but this kinda reads like you’re calling your tattooer friends unskilled and unprofessional artists. Yikes. I sure hope they don’t see this 😬
English

@LoganDorkis @morekissing that’s not how ppl get hired at shops, like literally all of my artsy friends are in tattooing and none of them did school for it and all landed apprenticeships
English

@VK_HM @LoganDorkis I agreed with your take because of the opposite experience. People very upset at the idea the dependent wasn't actually innocent.
Either way is unfortunate as ambiguity is definitely the point & why it's a timeless classic. Does one believe in "beyond reasonable doubt" or not?
English

@RIPYaksbeard @morekissing Oh darn okay. Wasn’t really trying to authoritatively state how art schools or tattoo artistry work irl in my original tweet but I guess that’s what I did. Mb. Kill me I guess? 😔
English

@LoganDorkis I’m responding to a take going around that the defendant is obviously guilty. I assumed the premise was pretty obvious but I guess others saw it differently.
English

@a_dzzle @morekissing Not disagreeing with you at all. This is true in my experience too. My disagreement is that the character’s goal is to go to school “to be a tattoo artist” when the movie doesn’t actually state that. Just that she wants to go to art school. It is a weird nitpick
English

@CosmicEido Edited in this way with all the characters speaking their native tongue, it kinda makes it seem like Joseph just let the conversation play out while not understanding a single word that any of them were saying. He was just kind of talking out loud to himself. New headcanon 💆♂️
English

@Num1WarlockFan At a certain point they will start encountering bad guys with ultra specific powers that force them to contend with rules and limitations and can’t be beaten by brute force alone. And you will realize you are experiencing the definition of peak. Seriously. Enjoy
English

@Num1WarlockFan Yep. The plot is just a thin excuse for the heroes to fight a new bad guy each week. But that’s what makes it great. The fights are riveting and the camaraderie between the guys is endearing. And by the end you really feel like you’ve been on an adventure with these guys. Enjoy
English

So the way the past couple episodes have been going I'm guessing every episode is gonna have the crusaders fighting a new stand user

@CAFFSTRINK Years ago I saw footage of an animator I respect a lot who had put on episodes of Batman the animated series in the background while they were working. I imagine there’s many who do even more than that. Truly a to each their own type situation 🤷♀️

Left out the best part of the story! That's *not* what Davis told him; he misheard, "Don't play the *bottom* notes." One misheard word changed the trajectory of his career!

@TripleAAAkers7 It definitely has substance, and that substance is the source Material.
English

this film is all sauce and no substance, but also what gives the film sauce is antithetical to what Watchmen should be. it’s like if you tried to make spaghetti but instead of marinara you used chocolate syrup and completely forgot the noodles
