My experience has been the ones that do OF full time tend to be the least organized and least professional (too much time on their hands?) and to keep my sanity I always have a back up plan and schedule tightly when I travel. I assume a 30% cancellation/flake/ghost rate on collab trips and have something fun to do for myself—go to a park, museum, if and when I have time on my hands. It’s spared me a lot of annoyance and anger, tbh.
