Michael Morales looks HUGE and is reportedly around 220 lbs. He competes at welterweight (170 lbs), meaning he has to cut nearly 50 lbs 😮 As someone who has been involved in this sport, I can say the weight cut is often harder than the actual fight itself. It’s probably one of the biggest reasons fighters don’t compete more often. And honestly, 50 lbs is just too much. Just look at how bad Khamzat Chimaev looked after cutting around 46 lbs for the Sean Strickland fight. Not taking anything away from Sean’s win at all, but it was obvious Chimaev went through a brutal cut. #ufc #michaelmorales #khamzatchimaev

@fightbasicz He probably diets for 3 months prior to weight cut and cuts 15-20 pounds in fight week. I think he has 1-2 years left at welterweight. Islam cut around that much for lightweight so I dont think it will be a big issue
