@PondsideGames I'll provide an explanatory wiki and a few basic tutorials. I'll also focus on making the design more intuitive. I'd prefer players to play the game according to their own ideas. 😄

@LogistFrontline Great idea to focus on the logistics and back end of war! The game already looks very deep with all its interfaces. Is the player expected to figure them out on their own, or are there tutorials to guide us through?

@masterAlanmurph Artillery barrages will damage items and corpses that aren’t protected by buildings. They won’t disappear immediately; instead, they’ll be converted into another item to indicate that they’ve been damaged.

@LogistFrontline The second is that the shelling now destroys supplies and wounded, dead bodies, You mean if the headquarters or the hospital isn't located on a six - level fortress or your later vision of a reinforced house, or a basement, They disappear, is that what you're saying?

@LogistFrontline One means that if the office is destroyed and demolished, will the soldiers lose morale directly or will they be forcibly evicted if they are uninhabitable?

@masterAlanmurph Testing has shown that FOBs without a military camp office are usually only used for frontline supply storage. When rotation is needed, soldiers still return to more well-equipped FOBs in the rear. This means players do not view the former as actual soldier garrisons.

I have arrived safely at my new place. It’s a top-floor apartment in a high-rise building on the outskirts, with a wide view of open fields. I’ve had a really good rest these past few days, and planted some vegetables just before spring ends. I’m about to get back to work.🫡

@LogistFrontline Take some rest 🙏 I tried the demo but at one point I didn't have any objectives in the tutorial (when they ask you to build the mess). So I was kinda stuck, lost, and didn't knew what to do now 😅

I really didn’t manage to finish all the testing before the movers arrived, so I have to continue once I’m at the new place. But maybe I really should take a few days off. Train stations(WIP) will serve as logistics arrival points deeper into the map. #indiedev #gamedev

@LogistFrontline What game is this? It somehow reminds me of Project Zomboid. Sorry if it's rude to compare your game to another one. It just looks really cool.

@nostalgicrealms In my opinion, AI isn't really suited for creative production. It’s more like a reliable, obedient intern. Just have it handle the tedious, necessary repetitive work, and you can greatly improve efficiency while maintaining the quality of your work.

I was looking through my old art and I thought I'd make this post as I have seen a lot of fellow gamedevs asking 'how to get good at art' and thinking about taking shortcuts using ai art for their games. I was thinking, why are so many devs using ai art? Is it because it's better? Or it's an easy shortcut? Is it possible that they don't have confidence that they will ever reach a good enough level with their own art? I started learning gamedev and pixel art later in life. At first I had absolutely no idea what I was doing (see exhibit A from 2019!) Slowly I practiced, I was getting a little bit every month and the things I was trying to draw actually started looking like the ideas I had in my head. I learned that art really is a grind, but if you are determined it isn't impossible. If people want to use ai that's totally up to them but I think they are potentially not only robbing their game of visual character but also they are robbing themselves of whatever potential they might one day achieve by putting the work in. Am I the greatest artist? No way! But I think I'm way better than I was and I'm happy I put all those years into learning. I'm also happy that my game has it's own identity and character, something that is different. If I can do this from where I started I think anyone can.

@LogistFrontline I also wanted to say that the Russian version does not translate the description of the buildings
