@TimothyDooner Freight forwarder is not a freight broker. Freight forwarders do not have to apply for a MC#. They are IAC’s. And most don’t have Brokerage authority and are not required to. Worked for one for 23 years.
FREIGHT BROKER SUED OVER CARGO THEFT: "Zurich American Insurance Company filed suit on March 18, 2026, in the US District Court for the Central District of California, targeting TForce Worldwide, Inc., a licensed freight forwarder it accuses of ignoring its own verification procedures and, in doing so, enabling the theft of an interstate cargo shipment."
"The person contacting TForce was not using Global Spedition's verified email address - "dispatch@globalspedition dot net”- which was already in TForce's system. Instead, the correspondence came from "transgloba00@gmail dot com," a generic Gmail account with no apparent connection to the carrier."
@FreightWaves And what fucking fines for DOT, state agencies issuing CDL’s, insurance companies insuring these carriers, agd the FMCSA for allowing these illegals to operate in the first place? Plenty of blame to go around. But 10k for carriers? What a joke. Lawyers training this guy
No more "slap on the wrist."
Marcus, Dalilah's father, is pushing for amendments to Dalilah’s Law that hit negligent carriers where it hurts:
0-day vehicle impoundment for out-of-service violations.
$10,000 fines for carriers.
$50,000 fines for brokers who continue to use unsafe drivers.
3 strikes and your authority is revoked.

@maybedanielleee You compared brokers to travel agents in a previous post, does Kayak vet the pilots and maintain safety records for them and the airlines?
@Hotshotcarshipr@maybedanielleee Are you driving in Moldova? Honestly. Car haulers being brokered? Pay for google ad space and market yourself. No value in being dispatched by foreign brokers. Never in my 30 years did I or anyone in my company broker a car hauler. No value.
@maybedanielleee Exactly. Around 90% of brokers I have talked to were foreign and barely speak English. Often they have children interpreting their phone calls (very frustrating). They rarely ask me for an insurance coi or any identification.
@dexmatthews@maybedanielleee You don’t manage the carrier. You select the carrier and set up the transportation. Managing a carrier assumes responsibility to their actions. Remember this going forward. You manage providing your customer with shipment information and invoicing.
@maybedanielleee As the broker I’m responsible for securing the truck. Tracking the freight and what the driver chooses to do during transit is the carriers responsibility.
I manage the carrier - carrier manages the driver.
@TheLandoShow@NickHarrisFWST Take them both. Resign Brooks and tag Shaair next year or let him walk next year. 3 picks for those 2 players at that price? Draft CJ Allen or styles this year and you have the best lb scenario possible.
The Cowboys are interested in Dolphins All Pro LB, Jordyn Brooks & Texans Pro-Bowl LB, Azeez Al-Shaair
-H/T @NickHarrisFWST for the report
Some quick thoughts on both, starting with the All Pro
•Jordyn Brooks signed a 3 yr $26M contract with the Dolphins back in 2024.
🚨If MIA trades Brooks before the draft (pre June-1) they save $2M 2026 cap space & eat $8M in dead cap
It’s now a “contract year” & for a team like MIA it makes perfect sense to acquire pick 92 from the Cowboys NOW & potentially next years 2nd round pick as opposed to letting him walk in free agency & recouping a 3rd round Comp pick 2 years from now (2028)
One team is offloading salary & stockpiling picks, the other is desperate for a difference making Green Dot.
Obvious fit.
•As for Azeez Al Shaair who signed a 3yr $34M contract in 2024.
He just logged his first Pro-Bowl campaign in 2025 & he’s also entering a contract year.
The Texans are a defensive juggernaut and clearly a roster ready to “go for it” but they know they won’t be extending Al-Shaair after this season with a few other significant contracts to account for in 2027.
He likely would only cost the Cowboys this years 4th round pick (112 overall) which is obviously cheaper than Brooks’ compensation but to me, the Dolphins are more likely to deal him given the trajectory of their roster.
🚨if HOU trades Al-Shaair before the draft (pre June-1) they save $2M in 2026 cap space but eat $12M in dead money.
Housekeeping note: 🧹
the team trading a player away usually "eats" dead money because all remaining unamortized signing bonuses (prorated money from previous years) immediately accelerates and count against the team’s salary cap, acting as a "sunk cost". However, the new team takes on future base salaries and roster bonuses.
Which LB do you prefer? 🤔
(More to come on this topic as I begin my deep dive now⏳)
@charlimae333@CPowers14 Nothing. It was review as a flagrant not ruled not to be because it wasn’t. But should have been a foul on byu, but much like most of the game fouls on byu weren’t called. And don’t show screenshots of fouls per team. BYU had 3 fouls in the 2nd with 6 mins left.
@Fan_Prspective If the refs aren’t calling the checking and the drives to the bucket all they can do is jack up threes. It’s dumb offense but calls were dictating those dumb shots.
Our perimeter guys have fallen asleep riding the Matas train. Way too passive as BYU has turned up the heat defensively.
Would like to see guys like Pope look for his shot more off some of these screens.
@kjf3009@MarchMadnessMBB@BYUMBB It was, and the TV announcer said he thought it was a clean block just like he did on two other others who were obvious gold tins. They were so in bed with BYU. It was ridiculous.
@Texas_Junkie Unfortunately, these refs aren’t calling fouls so they stopped driving cause they’re just letting them whack them. Plus these announcers calling this game are idiots
BYU opens the half with a 7-2 run. Sean Miller is in a constant dialogue with the same ref he glared at the first half. Miller doesn't like that BYU is allowed to be handsy while the Horns are piling up fouls.. Also not happy the refs missed a goaltending call on a Matas drive.
@SSN_Longhorns Just decided to start playing typical Texas offense in the last six minutes and can’t get a foul call so they start jacking up threes. 13-2 run by 1 guy essentially.
It is Texas vs AJ Dybantsa right now. The Longhorns don’t have many answers and are holding on for dear life.
70-59 Texas lead with 7:46 to go. #HookEm
"Americans will work. But they have to do it for American wages."
Marcus, Dalilah's father, exposes the "race to the bottom" in the trucking industry. Brokers and carriers are bypassing American drivers for the cheapest labor possible, creating a system of "slave wages" that no family can survive on.

@realcarrier411 They’ve been allowing virtual offices since the beginning of time. The guy that heads up TNOOA uses a virtual office. You have carriers with virtual offices in your database. Also Landstar has hundreds of offices in Europe operating.
