Remember long ago when I told yall botting and embedding would become an unremovable cancer on the streaming industry… like 5-6 years ago? Remember when I said we were on the cusp of the damage being irreversible? Remember when I said that to Dan Clancy face?

It's been cooked for a while tbh. I am a marketing manager for a gaming adjacent company that spends roughly $150k~ monthly on various advertising and we won't even touch Twitch. Haven't for years. The biggest problem is this has trickled down to individual influencers/streamers as well, not just on a platform scale. It has deeply hurt the creator economy (for the legitmate streamers) since so many companies are unwilling or extremely hesitant to pay for services now. The only deals companies are really willing to make these days are UGC deals that we can put spend behind on legitimate platforms that guarantee good returns (TikTok/Meta usually). The amount of companies that have got burned on 6-7 figure deals due to insanely inflated and falsified metrics is wild, and they are sick of it tbh. It's bad.

You can usually tell which streamers are viewbotting because the category they are "famous for" doesn't even hit 1/6th the viewership on a weekend when they aren't streaming

Just told it to play "Pokemon Jazz Music" and proceeded to play my "Good Music" playlist. But if I ask it to "play my good music playlist" it will play a random playlist called "good music" from someone else.

Google Home gotta be the dumbest smart service when it comes to playing music and playlists from your account
