After yesterday’s shocking revelations, it’s time for Mark Zuckerberg to come to Capitol Hill, take an oath, and answer to America for how he has sold out our country’s security for China profits

Listened to @maitlis interviewing a former Facebook big-wig on @TheNewsAgents who is now a whistle blower in a book called “careless people” - made my blood boil…can’t remember bringing more angry about this new “engineer “ elite. Once again the problem comes down to “how much is enough?”

Dinner with @LoisBray last night was delightful in and of itself, but two new books for the kids has also made solo bedtime tonight MUCH easier. I have excellent friends 🙌🏻

Happy publication day to @theoblue_jpg and their gorgeous graphic novel debut, Homebody. So joyous, and just bursting with love and compassion. I’m so proud to be publishing this!

I’ve tried to write this post a hundred times but I can’t put it into words. Somehow #Greenwild actually went and won the @Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2024. Thank you, booksellers. This win is the honour of my life 💚🌿 @MacmillanKidsUK @elisaupsidedown

And our overall winner is... Greenwild by @PariThomson! A debut that enchanted our booksellers with its sweeping escapism; a timeless fantasy tale of friendship, mystery, and the magic and beauty in nature (illustration by @elisaupsidedown): bit.ly/3PvX8un #WCBP24

I’ve been completely overwhelmed by the messages I’ve received, thank you for the support and the stories people have shared of their own experiences 🙏 Trying to work through them all, but just wanted to say thank you.

@eleanorturney Pilaf good idea. Maybe the Dishoom jackfruit biryani? Prep is quite complicated but you have half an or so while it's in the oven / stands to chat with guests.

Right: on Friday I am cooking for seven lovely people, of whom one is coeliac, one is veggie, one hates tomatoes and one has gestational diabetes. I’m thinking some kind of pilaf, punched potatoes, green veg, but very open to ideas!

Mums of Twitter! My best friend is due to give birth to her first child in August. Is there anything that you received as a gift/favour/support in the immediate aftermath that was particularly useful, or that you wish you had had access to?

@Francesca_PR Honestly, smart move. £25, two glue gun injuries and a damaged shellac later... And she's refused to wear it since this pic (don't blame her, girl has taste)
