@JoanSForgeFlow at the Spanish OCA Days 2023 in Valencia, focusing on our approach to requirement engineering in Odoo projects. He emphasized the role of key users in understanding customer workflows and methods to identify and address project needs, conducting a gap analysis.

@rvalyi @JordiBForgeFlow @PedroMBaeza @ggellatly When I speak about MRP I refer to an actual MRP (mrp_multi_level) not the "mrp" module of Odoo. If that is also what you mean, MRP multi level ignores reservations, the considered stock is all (reserved and unreserved), it relies on on-hand, demand and supply.

@LoisRForgeFlow @JordiBForgeFlow @PedroMBaeza sorry if that's a dumb question but you mean Odoo MRP or orderpoint will ignore reservations made with stock_reserve(_sale)? Are you sure it is the case? (cause I've read people use it for their orderpoints cc @ggellatly )

@rvalyi @JordiBForgeFlow @PedroMBaeza Planning tools like MRP or DDMRP should not be based on reservations (they are actually ignored on purpose), demand estimates are a better fit because they are only used for that, to state expected consumption

@JordiBForgeFlow @LoisRForgeFlow @PedroMBaeza 2/2 in this scenario, I like the stock_reserve_sale usability better because the link with the "pre-orders" is obvious. But eventually I miss the mrp_multi_level compatibility (stock_demand_estimate based). What do you think?
