I have a lot of respect for Geoff - he promoted a game he genuinely believed in, and he's getting a lot of (mostly) unnecessary flack for it. There's a debate to be had about the difference his push made, but he had the best intentions & is able poke fun at himself. Good man.

I don’t like people shitting on things others have created. Putting something out into the world makes you vulnerable, and that alone deserves respect, even if you dislike the creation. It’s easy to destroy things, it’s a lot harder to build them. The best critics understand this. Even when they’re being critical, they do their best not to be hurtful.

Lots of complaining about this🤔 The Fable series always had dry british humour at its core. One of the main reasons the games are so great imo. There's a trove of "serious" fantasy RPGs out there already, if that's what you're looking for🤷‍♂️

I feel like a lot of people are too quick to express an opinion on something they know nothing about, these days. Taking whatever some person says as fact, without doing their own research. And/or blindly following the herd, not thinking for themselves

Nobody wants AI, but it will be forced down our throats anyway. They don't stop and question that it isn't wanted. The culture of games and art has been hijacked by giga corps that don't care about art, and don't care about what you want. The use of AI is nuanced. Did they use it to streamline optimization? Or did they use it to replace real artists? They will use that undefined nuance as a shield to feed you AI designed gameplay loops with AI written stories designed to sell you AI skins for AI created characters. Removing the disclosure will just cast a blindfold over the consumer's eyes so Billionaire Bill can up his stock prices, because art is just business to them, and they will milk it until it's slop.

The AI water controversy has brought our attention to a very real problem. The way we use water and produce energy is extremely unsustainable. A prompt may only use 0.26ml of water, but stuff like producing a pair of jeans, uses up to 4000L of water. Something needs to happen
