@thephoenixsdk Black Flag resynced is a remake and most of the things I described are lightly touched or left intact, because Black Flag still holds up well.

The Ezio trilogy are some of my favorite games of all time.. but I do not think they hold up in 2026 like Black Flag does. If they remade the games they would have to redesign combat, side missions, half the systems would need to be updated for modern day.

Someone who worked on Dragon Age Veilguard told me that an executive told the devs to "Make the aesthetic of the game like Fortnite" Make the dark medieval fantasy RPG... like Fortnite. I have a take on all this. This is literally evil. Before you say "it's not that deep" Video games are an artform that touch millions of people. During our formative years so many of us can point to a moment, a cutscene, a time of our lives where a game changed who we are and how we think. Video games have shaped me into the person I am today and why I do what I do every day. Making something that has that kind of power is an immense responsibility, you are shaping the culture of the world. That art and potential being in the hands of some greedy businessman who couldn't care less about games as an artform and only wants to appease shareholders.. is evil. It's a literal evil effecting current and future generations of our entire species.

Tango releases critically acclaimed HiFi Rush. Close studio. Buy Dishonored studio known for the best immersive sims. Get them making a live service. Close studio. Then close 5 more. Obsidian releases 4 mid forgettable games "safe" 343 releases 4 bad halo games in a row "safe"

@PapaPalpetine They made somw of the greatest RPGs of all time and then put out a bunch of RPG's that brought nothing new, pushed nothing forward, and that most people will never remember.
