I know the conversation of facial animations and cutscene presentation in Assassin's Creed has been circulating, especially with @TheHiddenOneAC recent video.
But it really is shocking how gorgeous the presentation is in Unity compared to Shadows, Odyssey, and Valhalla.

CoD is so confusing bro everybody was mad the game had movement so they took out jump packs. Then they added slip and slide. Then they made Tark of Duty and people got mad. Then they went back to slip and slide. If I was a CoD dev I'd crashout on a daily basis.

They did all the homework, and they are not just dropping Kassandra there. The lack of ISU lore in the entirety of the game AND dlc, only to be shyly referenced to in some update 8 months after release (when most players have wrapped it up and moved on) is indefensible. Is that all passionate fans get? Having to wait yearly updates for a crumb of lore?

Mirage's depth in almost every aspect genuinely blows Shadows so far away. This is what us AC fans mean when we say Bordeaux deserves to be working on AC far more than Quebec.

So being an Arabic speaker, I translated Ishaq's Lullaby from Assassin's Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory & it hits so hard thematically. It's like a poem: Here it is🎵: We crossed through rivers We made promises We travel together, so don't be afraid We'll float through Seas In Peace, and together Through the Passage of time The nature whispers in its secret And the secret's fate, at its end, will reveal A light sting and a fast feeling of pain They both drown like friends Through deep dreams End of Song Thoughts: Man, what a foreshadowing for what happens to Basim and Loki. Drowning in sleep later in Valhalla... how Basim has Loki as a friend who he floats with. So deep and emotional. Way to go Brendan Anglides & Layth Sidiq! Dispatch and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 were both made by teams that left Ubisoft to form their own studio.
AdHoc founders left Telltale, joined Ubisoft, and were working on a new Splinter Cell before it was turned GaaS and became xDefiant.
Crazy story on both sides.

Mario & Luigi Brothership released one year ago!
I enjoyed it. The visuals are great, the turn based gameplay is textbook Mario & Luigi.
I'm happy Nintendo revived the series despite AlphaDream no longer existing. I hope a new Mario & Luigi is made for Switch 2 eventually.

What sucks about the Assassins Creed franchise is that I always felt like the story was leading us to a finale where we'd play as Desmond in modern day.
Like. I wanted that so bad.
Jumping skyscrapers. Parkour through traffic. Epic gun play and espionage.
What a waste...

We better keep getting Mario and Luigi games because there is genuinely so much to love about Brothership and the things that are not so great could easily be fixed with consideration from the team
I adore the artstyle and it lowkey has one of the best Mario villains
