There are two main causes to our current predicament: 1) Direct primary voting. For 200 years until 1972 party leaders chose the candidates. This made us demagogue proof. 2) Cheap mobile internet. This gave mind manipulators access to the lower classes.

@PauletteParis1 First Voting Rights. Once we redraw fair districts and allow fair voting, we'll have large, secure majorities like during FDR's time. All else will follow. Even if we just straighten out Florida, that would be enough.

@sppeterson Great points. It will happen, but on what scale? My guess is to impact the election it would require a vast, efficient organization. I don't think they are capable of that.

Evil Twitter will have no impact. Anyone susceptible to MAGA psyops brainwashing is already in the cult. The rest of us are immune. The only way Trump seizes power is through assassinations and treason by major elements of the Pentagon. Still possible, but highly unlikely.
