This, of course is nonsense. The direct views of TPUSA halftime show was 5-6 million, the 25 million included other media. The Oscars? Online engagement surged, with over 181 million social media impressions—a 42.4% increase from 2025—and 21.6 million users engaging on official Academy social platforms, including 129 million video views.

Good news: The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award going to the people of the Twin Cities is a recognition of how our state persevered and led the way in defending freedom and democracy.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Seven times. That's how many times Democrats have tried to fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. And every single time, Republicans have refused. They would rather protect ICE's lawlessness than protect our communities. How despicable.

Trump’s FCC waived a rule so a Trump ally’s broadcast company can reach 60% of US households. Between Nexstar and Sinclair Broadcasting, two of Trump’s allies will control 450 local stations, including news, in 95% of U.S. markets. Trump’s billionaire allies now control X, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Threads, TikTok, Truth and Twitch. They own Fox News, CBS, CNN, WaPo, WSJ, NY Post and the majority of local news stations. This is by design. The news will be what Trump and his administration say it is.

Police violently grab Black woman by her neck—flip her over backwards head first onto pavement. She was standing with her hands behind her back—not resisting being handcuffed. All while at least 4 police officers surround the woman—pointing guns directly at her. "Oh, my God!" woman filming cries out. "I hate watching this police!" The incident occurred in Columbus, Ohio.

The NY Times continues to erroneously call the SAVE Act a "voter I.D. bill." I did a deep dive into its history and explain that ID was only added this year and is nots it core. Stop spreading GOP talking points and focus on the facts. democracydocket.com/opinion/the-sa…

The FCC just approved a merger that gives one corporation control of 80% of your local TV news. They're already firing journalists to pay for it. And Brendan Carr is threatening to pull licenses from stations that cover the war in ways he doesn't like. I broke it all down. 🔗⬇️

Not for nothing, but on this day in 2003, the US invaded Iraq with strong public support and congressional approval. 5 Weeks later, Bush 43 declared victory. 8 YEARS later, the US left Iraq with 4,492 troops killed and 32,000 injured. At least 200,000 Iraqi civilians died.

Go around the clock? Minority needs only one or two on the floor, to deny unanimous consent and to note the absence of a quorum-- meaning the majority has to be there. So it is entirely performative-- unless they use the nuclear option to change Rule XXII

I hope you understand that when the rule changed in 1975, going from 2/3rds present and voting to 3/5th of the entire Senate, the burden shifted from the minority to the majority. A "talking filibuster" is no longer what it was. 1
Fred Bauer@fredbauerblog

Since everyone's still talking about the "talking filibuster," I'll just observe that, yes, determined majorities have been able to outlast filibustering minorities. After all, some filibusters failed prior to the introduction of cloture in 1917. Quick🧵

"Simple commonsense" is doing a lot of work for a bill that eliminates mail-in registration, online registration, and registration at a DMV, church, or college campus. Those aren't loopholes. They're how most Americans have registered for thirty years. Protecting elections means protecting access, not engineering a smaller electorate and calling it integrity.
Senator Ted Cruz@SenTedCruz

We are in the middle of the battle to pass the SAVE America Act. This is simple, commonsense legislation that will protect our elections. We need to get it done.
