- Luca asked ChatGPT for advice on suicide, specifically seeking "specifics" and "the most effective ways people can do that on the railway."
- He bypassed the model's safeguards by claiming he was asking for "research purposes" (a common jailbreak tactic noted in other cases). ChatGPT initially responded with standard safety prompts (e.g., urging contact with organizations like Samaritans), but it accepted his research framing and continued, providing the requested information.
- The coroner noted that the AI showed "an element of worry" about his intent but did not shut down the conversation.
- DS Knight described the full exchange as "chilling and upsetting reading."
