Our beautiful & incredible daughter Evanne sadly passed away last night after nearly 6 & a half years battling this cruel disease. We’re grateful that the oncology staff at QEHB & Good Hope ICU were so supportive & helped make her final hours as pain free & dignified as possible.

Apple Valley Shelter Crisis
On April 9, Apple Valley Animal Shelter confirmed a case of canine distemper and announced a 10–14 day halt on intakes, adoptions, and rescue pulls — no dogs in, no dogs out. Then they quietly unlisted 13 dogs — and tragically, at least one (Tyler #250160) has already been euthanized, despite an adopter waiting to take him home after quarantine. The shelter hasn’t even told her.
So many questions, and no answers:
❓ What happens to dogs during quarantine?
❓ Will these dogs be relisted after lockdown?
❓ Are dogs getting vet care or monitoring?
❓ Are they being quietly killed during the lockdown?
Please help the dogs: call and email now to demand answers and advocate for the dogs’ lives!

What a waste of such a beautiful dog, Hendrix #A1823328 was surrendered by his family 122 days ago. Now located in Coachella pound, Thousand Palms CA, this intelligent and affectionate 2 year old faces the end of his life due to his length of stay. I'm afraid I have some bad news.
Nanna, the 18 year old blind and deaf dog I adopted 3 years ago, passed away in my arms this morning.
Nanna had a stroke this week that there was no coming back from. She died surrounded by the people and dogs who loved her most.
