I'm not gonna victory lap here because I came into this weekend thinking the same way. The horns have a better roster, and they've performed better to this point on the mound. I also believe elite pitching (which Texas has) beats elite hitting. This is a credit to Michael Earley and the mental fortitude of this team. The pressure was on us to succeed this weekend, not Texas. You saw the same situation in the football game in '24: big bad Texas comes to town for games that truly matter for the first time in a long time. We folded then. The pressure got to us. Marcel tried to do too much and made too many mistakes and it cost us. I digress. This weekend, our maturity really impressed me. Yeah, the booing and the chanting was absolutely directed to Schloss, but the impetus to succeed was put on our batters, and they delivered. Weekend ain't over yet, and you want to get a sweep over the #2 team in the country regardless of what funky colors they wear. However, no matter what happens tomorrow, I've been thoroughly impressed by Michael Earley, in particular. I will be the first to put my hand up and say I was wrong to not believe in him. This has been (and I hope will continue to be) an incredible weekend. The 12th Man needed this. The 12th Man deserves this. Michael Earley delivered. Let's go get that sweep tomorrow.

It’s hilarious when you stop and think about it, because A&M could sweep us while beating us by 10+ every game and it still wouldn’t change the fact that they lost a championship they should’ve won, their head coach left for their rival (because it was simply the better job) and they have the gayest fan base in college
