The #Bills could now potentially unleash Cole Bishop as a big nickel where he’s allowed to hang closer to the LOS and use his physicality more. Being able to live in nickel is the skeleton key for every good defense not getting dictated by certain personnel groupings. I think he can absolutely thrive in this role.

Jim Leonhard is going to use nickel packages/personnel. Likely not to the level of Sean McDermott (depending on the guys they can bring in this offseason), but still enough that having a good player at Nickel is important. So it’s telling that the Bills let Taron Johnson go. He’s either not the kind of Nickel Leonhard wants, or Leonhard plans on using less nickel than we thought/has other priorities for additions at other positions

DJ Moore feels like the same old Bills move to get Josh Allen weapons. This feels more like another Emannuel Sanders than adding a true #1. He is very good, but ~29, not going to grow or peak with this offense. Even when we swing for the fences we are only swinging for doubles.
