As I mentioned earlier, Iran holds the upper hand right now. They should secure the best possible deal for the Iranian people and economy by wisely using their current leverage. Thinking they can sustain a prolonged war would be a mistake. It will only cause greater damage to the people of Iran in the long run.

Iran has demonstrated the harsh reality of war. turning it into a prolonged conflict has hurt Iran more. Right now, they are in a position of leverage and can extract the maximum benefit from it because they currently hold the upper hand.

Not anytime soon.
Oil fell from ~$110 to under $100 after Trump paused strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure for 5 days to push negotiations, easing market fears.
But gas is still high.
Why?
There’s a built-in delay. Crude still has to be refined, transported, and delivered, which takes weeks.
And more importantly: nothing is actually resolved.
The Strait of Hormuz is still unstable, and the pause only targets energy sites, not the war itself.
