@CHC3 I believe their strategy is to expand their recruiting to kids who dont normally see HBCUs as an option. There are no HBCUs west of TX/OK. Parents and kids on the west coast have little to no exposure. If successful they could significantly increase the talent pool.

Sounds dope .. prob would’ve been more beneficial to have on the east coast or even mid-west tho …. Going all the way across the country just doesn’t make much sense

Mingo was quietly one of the best PGs in mid major basketball for Charlotte last season averaging (in conference): • 13.7 PPG • 3.1 RPG • 5.1 APG • 39.2% 3PT (4.4 3PA/G) The list of players in college basketball who hit those numbers in conference this season? Mingo, Christian Anderson, Darius Acuff, Braden Smith, Boopie Miller, Jalen Speer, & Christian Bliss. As Asst @ SanJose St I ferociously recruited: Ricky Council IV (NC), TJ Bamba (NYC), Ryan Dunne (NYC) -all HS guys and was asked “Who else offered?” Me: no one seriously let’s GRAB HIM” each time I was scolded. Soon after Wichita St, Wash St and prep did. the rest is history🫡

@CharlotteMBB Good win but why shoot a 3 when you're only down by 1 AND you're in the bonus? Get a higher quality shot and/or get to the line instead of depending on a rebound off of a bad shot. Got to play smart ball going into conf tournament play.

Call me old school but I'll never understand everyone stopping at the 3 pt line in transition. What happened to the drag, pitch n cut, screen at the top, secondary break? Too many teams relying on transition 3s only. HS, coll and pro
