One of the things I’m going to miss about Wisner is his patience. The safety chased the motion over the top. DB fills the B-gap, so Wisner steps at him, then when Hutson comes off on the linebacker in A, DB gets caught up in the wash as Wisner cuts back and DJ seals.

@DrewALine33 @laus2395 There are no guarantees, but if you believe 247s reporting on the situation (which I have no season not to), the Bo Barnes situation actually proves my point. Prioritizing chasing portal players over guys at home is biting Texas in the keister.

@LonghornPod @laus2395 That’s not even a guarantee. The Bo Barnes situation is one example and Ohio State is apparently in jeopardy of losing Bo Jackson because he wants a pay increase.

My biggest takeaway from this portal season is that the only certainty in the portal era is the dudes already on campus. Can’t bet on dudes planning on going in or even dudes with active paperwork. Bird in the hand and all that. Maybe I’m too cautious, but we’ll see.
