@gfreeman2012 I’m doing it myself/ my new teachers start July 1st do that they can feel part of the team and get paid during Summer when I know they will be working so hard getting ready for September- difference is they will be paid!

One of my daughters friends has been offered a job for September as an NQT-they have asked her to plan all lessons ,homework & teach her new class from Monday but are not going to pay her as it’s voluntary- I am outraged by this- in terms of well being &fairness this is so wrong

@KyrstieStubbs This is unethical and she should go back to her Headteacher and negotiate payment. Otherwise, simply refuse.

Mr Ivett nominated James, Tomass and Ruby for the Principal’s Award for their efforts in the Year 7 assessments in science. It is a real highlight of the week for Mr Owen to meet with students who demonstrate great attitudes to learning.

Always important to keep an eye on our year 13s! Today they were exploring the wonders of the eye and they did a terrific job, identifying the key parts and linking them to their function.
