Lono Chouteau is long, athletic, fast, a big play receiver and a ballhawk on defense. Three catches in this first quarter for the 6’4 Inderkum senior | @Lono_Chouteau

THAT IS A TOUCHDOWN 😳😳😳😳 The 6’4 Lono Chouteau is ridiculous. Every bit a 3⭐️ with seven D1 offers. Tremendous connection with Ricky Cole. Those two, Zayden Maxwell, Leandrew Jenkins and many others with great drive. 21-14 Inderkum, 5:14 left in half

ALL-STAR SELECTION 1st TEAM CORNERBACK CB - Lono Chouteau (Inderkum) CB - Issac Pierce (Oak Ridge) @Lono_Chouteau, @Inderkum_FB,@IsaacPierce0, @ORHS_Football Lono Chouteau was among the best WR last season when he had 16TD’s on 34 receptions. This season he bested those numbers to 878 Yards and 11TD’s. But this is not for his work as a receiver but his work as a DB. Last season Inderkum had one of the best defensive backfields in the area. They lost a lot of starters to graduation. Long had huge shoes to fill (he did play some CB on that special team last season as well). Well as the top CB Lono has done quite well. He uses his 6’4” frame to its maximum ability as he shuts down his side of the field. He has 3 picks and one returned 101 yards for a TD. Did I mention he is a punt returner and has one returned for a TD, and he actually punts himself, and quite well having 3 kicks inside the 20 and averages almost 40 yards per kick. Talk about an all-around athlete. He would have more picks and stats but smart teams don’t test him. I think he is just one of the best at this position in the area. Issac Pierce had a fantastic season and is generally regarded as the best CB in the area. He has had 3 pick sixes this year. He had 2 punt returns for TD’s. With the impressive Womack as his DB partner teams can’t really throw away from him as much as Lono. He has 7 passes defensed. Pierce is super physical as a CB as well so he has 1.5 tackles for Loss and a caused fumbled (and recovery) to add to his stats sheet. He is supremely athletic, super fast and packs a lot of power in his small 5’9” frame. He helped lead Oak Ridge to a 2 seed in D1 with a victory over Rocklin. And to think this kid is just a sophomore.

Grant has no control over who they play in league. But when you schedule Lincoln of SD, Clovis East and DLS as part of your open league schedule, you deserve a lot of credit for taking on that kind of a schedule, and that is in their control. I respect the hell out of that actually.

ALL-STAR SELECTION 2nd TEAM WIDE RECEIVERS WR - Will Greene (Vista Del Lago) WR - Koby Shabazz (Grant) @Will_Greene14, @VistaFB, @k1shabazz, @grant_union What a fantastic season for Will Greene and Vista Del Lago. I thought it would take a while to have a combo as explosive as Koett and Long but ijust one season later Greene has 1125 yards to go with 18 TD’s! He rushes the ball (2TD’s there) and is not a bad defender as well. He has great height and size at 6’2” 175lbs and seems to just fly by defenders to the end zone as his average per catch is 25yards! The Vista offense is loads of fun to watch. Koby Shabazz has a killer name to go along with elite play on the field. He plays much bigger than his 5’9” frame. He is the main target on offense and has 49 receptions and 9 TD’s line up opposite a lot great teams best DB’s. To get those numbers is much harder when your schedule contains 3 teams in my final state top 10, as Grant played without a doubt the toughest schedule in the area. Just a sophomore, there are a few more years to see this kid grow and produce and with all his experience just wait until playoff time.
