@chefsevenn No fast food, at least, for over 10 years. Perhaps not since 2014ish.

@WallStreetApes My father-in-law had to eat stuff like that in bread. He was a prisoner of war during WWII. That was what the Germans had given them to eat.

A sad day for Germany 🇩🇪.
5.000 US 🇺🇸 troops will leave my country.
They defended us for 7 decades and they never misused their power (unlike the Soviets). They acted disciplined and friendly. They taught us a lot. The U.S. is like a big brother for Germany.
But the U.S. administration is right: Germany can stand on its own feed nowadays. The U.S. needs its resources to deter China 🇨🇳. And one day, when we Europeans are strong enough we will do so as well.
Thank you American soldiers for your service for liberty and peace in Europe.

In April of this year, Colorado, Florida, Texas, and West Virginia changed what SNAP/EBT covers and more and more of these videos of ungrateful people keep getting posted - I love every one of them 😎
When I was a kid, people on food stamps had to physically go to the welfare office (it was called the "social service" office back then...) and physically pick up their food stamps. They were actual pieces of paper that looked distinct from real money and the users would have to pull them out to pay.
I remember my friends discussing how embarrassing it was to be with their mom when she'd pull them out. That was a good thing. It was a motivating factor to get off them.
Now, they just look like credit cards or they're on a phone app. I don't think these programs should exist at the federal level as they're unconstitutional but if we are going to have them we should return to the old system. Make people show up in person to pick them up. That alone would likely decrease use dramatically as most (not all) recipients are EXTREMELY lazy people and just won't do it.
The fact that this woman (and many more like her....) recorded her entitled reaction speaks volumes.
Budget accordingly...

@JustinParmenter No, you are not worth it. Better results will equal better pay.

I saw this senior spotlight from the New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy on Facebook and I was just kind of confused.
Graduating senior- Cadet Sgt Rose Mouton
In high school, she was an active participant of the NOMMA Marksmanship and Robotics Teams, as well as the NOMMA Yearbook Club.
Next year, SHE wants to attend college and hopes to one day work as a cook or baker

@Arkypatriot PFC me was checking out to go on PCS leave to Okinawa. Ended up checking in to 9th Marines. The LCpls had their sea stories of the evacuation. I listened with awe.

BS. The Black man has been coddled by this country since the enactment of Johnson’s Great Society legislation in an effort to right the sinful and wrongs of Jim Crow - passed by Republicans I might add (back in the ‘60’s the racist George Wallace was a hero to the left). Anyway, after 60 years we’ve seen the Black community continue to fail in education and violence against society which arguably is due to the breakdown of the family unit. Yes, 13% of the population commits over 55% of violent crimes - the vast majority of which are Black on White crimes. America prospers best in a merit based society as “free” programs have demonstrably made their road to success harder. Throwing more tax payer money has made certain things worse. Stop playing the racist card. It’s over use has become meaningless.

Today’s Supreme Court decision in Louisiana vs. Callais is a direct attack on Black voters and marks a shameful moment in our democracy. This ruling opens the door to racial gerrymandering that will take us back to Jim Crow. This ruling is a betrayal of Black voters and the promise of democracy. We will not stay silent.
