I don't know who needs to hear this, but the US government isn't a social app. When you fire 80% of the staff of a social app, features break, the app loses users, there's no support and the company loses value. When you fire 80% of the staff in government agencies, children and the elderly go hungry, veterans suffer, farmers suffer, states lose grants, leases and jobs which impacts local economies, and those federal "savings" are countered by increased unemployment, decreased consumer demand, impact to small business, and financial hardship.
